Food was disgusting; best housewine barely drinkable; service less than average; whole experience completely overprized. Worst 89 Euros I've ever spent. Definitely wouldn't waste my money and energy. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place.

Great food. Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly service. Sat outside on the porch for a great view. Would go again!

We were there with a large group and everyone enjoyed their dinner. I had bragioli which was bursting with flavor and my husband enjoyed the braised beef--much like stew. The chicken cacciatore, rabbit and local fish also got enthusiastic reviews. Each course was good, including an excellent fish soup. Portions were large, service was efficient and cheerful, but best of... More

Ate here due to set menu and from outside always looked busy and pleasant. We were disappointed with the food found both the rabbit and chicken dry and my ravioli wasn't the best having tried same dish in several other restaurants. One redeeming feature was the pleasant waitress who took time with each customer to speak with after the meal.... More

As a seafarer I am one or two times a year in Malta. Years ago our ship's agent recommended the family restaurant Ta Kolina as the best place to eat Maltese cuisine. Nothing has changed over the 22 years I have been going there. Local foods and wines are the big attraction at this lovely rustic restaurant. Most recently I... More

I went to Ta'Kolina as I wanted a traditional meal and it was quite close to my hotel. It was fairly busy so I was pleased to get a table. The food was average and the wine ok. Reasonable prices. I didn't feel particularly comfortable as a solo traveller and would say if you're in a group this us probably... More

We went to Ta Kolina for our last dinner in Malta. We received very friendly welcome and were seated even without reservation. The place is nice and cosy, the food is great and portions are very generous, so there was no room for deserts. We've enjoyed very much Maltese platter and local seafood. Once in Salima it's definitely worth to... More

Unlike some restaurants of the Burger/Pizza variety. Ta Kolina serves good local food, which is very tasty and good value, compared with Typical Hotel Buffett meals. The staff are welcoming and attentive. Went back again, as we enjoyed the food and atmosphere

My husband has eaten here on numerous occasions whilst visiting family in Malta so we had to go back. We rang and made a reservation as we didnt know how busy it would be so were pleased to be seated outside. Staff were very welcoming and friendly - I have yet to experience any bad service in Malta! Lovely cosy... More
