2nd night on holiday, decided to dine out. Short walk from my hotel. Made me most welcome, and comfortable - I'm disabled. Excellent A la Carte menu which includes local dishes. Ate very well and was taken care of by the owner himself. Very good three course meal, reasonably priced. Pleasant surroundings, and entertaining staff. Would definitely visit again.

This has got to be one of the best restaurants We have eaten in worldwide. Typical Maltese cuisine very tasty, good service and very good prices. The decor is understated and perhaps not what I could be described as 'trendy' but clean and cosy with some outside tables. Just wonderful.

A group of us (some visiting Malta, some living here) tried this restaurant on the recommendation of a Maltese relative who told us it was well known for being possibly the best traditional Maltese restaurant in Sliema. In stark contrast to most other restaurants in this area Ta'Kolina serves well-prepared, home-cooked, traditional food that is flavourful and good value for... More

We've past it a few times in the week we were here and booked it for last night. When we booked all appeared great and everybody was friendly. Returned last night to a half filled restaurant so no worries about booking. Offered a table inside by the window and then left for the best part of 5 minutes before we... More

Trip advisor is there to hammer you the time you do something wrong. The day before this gentleman came we were packed & even had to turn customers away. So we added 2 extra waiters & were half as busy .Thus instead of faring better it seems the waitresses were siesta. I remember quite well this nice gentleman so I... More

After going there couple of times on different occasion, today I was asked for 1e for each extra slice of bread and butter! Maybe our bill just wasn't high enough. Apart from that, lots of kids noise.

Thankyou for writing so quick. Yes it is true we charged you 1 euro each for twice asking for bread when you only had one fish soup nothing to drink & wanted to sit by the window. You also said you are not hungry. Even thou it is written on the menu that bread & butter is inclusive with second... More

Well run restaurant with simple but well cooked food. The skewer of fruit was free and nice idea. Small wine list but includes local wine as well as European wines. I was staying for only four nights in Malta but I eat there twice.

A perfect night to end another lovely day in Malta, a very warm and friendly greeting, attentive staff and great food. We went for the Maltese set menu which gave about 4 choices for each course including a traditional vegetable soup and Malteese cheese salad, and bragioli, braised beef and chicken cacciatore.Desserts included Lemon sorbet or a liqueur, everything we tried was... We arrived at about 8pm local time to be greeted by very friendly staff, especially the gentleman on the door. We were shown to a table straight away, the service was speedy and excellent. Now onto the food, we had a variety of nibbles to start then the main course which we all had a fillet of steak which melted... More

Went here with a friend after a suggestion from our hotel's manager. The Maltese bruschetta was to die for and the ravioli was great along with the wine! Definitely recommend.

Thanks for your review. What amazes me is very small percentage of those like you enjoyed their visit write on Trip advisor but on the good side you see them comming back year after year. Thats why they call us family restaurant. As we are a typical but small Restaurant we advertise only on Air Malta magazine. Thus we are always... More
