A Great Find

We walked past this restaurant each day as we were staying in St Vincent Street. It is away from the seafront at Sliema and always appeared busy. We booked for the next night and were very pleased we had as it was full once again. There is a small menu with local 'specials'. The service was... read more

We didn't discover this restaurant till a few days of our holiday had passed. Pity. We would have come back again. Great atmosphere and lovely food. We had the Maltese platter between us for a starter and I had a chicken dish for my main course. Can't remember what my husband and sister chose but I remember that we all... More

I went for a walk one evening and I came across this restaurant. My wife and I went there that night for a meal but it was fully booked out - hmm we thought , a good sign, so we booked for the following night. And I can tell you we were not disappointed The food was excellent my wife... More

This restaurant was close to the Palace Hotel where we were staying, so we decided to try it after checking the previous Tripadvisor reviews. We booked a table at 30 mins notice on a Monday evening and found the restaurant almost full when we arrived at 19.30h. We ordered the Maltese starter between 2 of us and this proved to... More

Visited on a quiet Monday night. We wanted an early dinner. They opened at 6, so we arrived at 6.10. We were immediately told that we couldn't have baked potatoes that were offered on the menu because they wouldn't be ready on time, then there was no soup. So we ordered, only to be told we couldn't have bruschetta because... More

Found this in an old Rough Guide turned up on spec. and secured the last unreserved table so I would strongly recommend booking, especially over the weekend. The food was good, generously portioned and relatively quick. The menu is not vast, which in my opinion is a good thing, accompanied by daily specials with sea food figuring prominently. The service... More

We found this little family run restaurant just off the Main Street in Sliema, and boy were we glad. The food is delicious, so tasty and a great choice. It is all home cooked. The decor is cosy and fun. A real taste of Malta rather than a bland chain-type restaurant. Our only regret was finding it on our last... More

We booked here for a quiet meal on a Friday evening, then friends wanted to come along, so 4, 6, 9, 12 and finally 15 of us turned up. The food was superb, not pretentious - just great local food, exactly what we wanted. The choice was enough - not a huge rambling menu but great quality food with enough... More

Wandering up a side street from the Sliema harbour front, I was delighted with this little gem of a traditional restaurant. My first meal there, Widow soup followed by pan fried rabbit, was delicious. So good, in fact, that I returned a few days later to taste the rabbit stew, slow cooked for 4 hours and so tender you could... More
