With such lovely weather in Malta, outdoor seating is a plus point for any restaurant here and Cafe' Sakura doesn't fail in this respect. Parking might be a problem, situated as it is on Sliema front, but the quality of the food and the setting makes it more than worthwhile. The manager was considerate enough to pull down one of... Been there many times and it never fails to impress me. Tried many other local sushi places and I must say that Sakura is unbeatable . Freshly prepared sushi and great service. Sushi deluxe platter accompanied with some sake well designed for couples. Keep it up :)

This place used to have very good sushi but they must have replaced their chef's or they are under new management. The sushi tasted like bad fish so we couldn't finish it.

This restaurant is casual with a relaxed atmosphere, but you would not look out of place if you dress up a little. The food is delicious and portion sizes are very large, my husband and I visited a few times and now tend to order one main and one starter to share as the meals are so large. I would... More

I've been living in Malta for a couple of years now, so I understand that service in Malta is generally a low to moderate standard. After a time you come to accept this and not to be too sensitive. But, nothing could have prepared me for the spectacle I encountered in Cafe Sakura on my last visit. I've eaten in... More

Dear PaOBrian, We thank you for your comments. We believe that we did try to accommodate your request even though it is not the norm for a client to order a main course and requests for the main ingredient to be changed ie rice instead of noodles. We do recommend that in the future you ask your waiter for the... More

I have been to Cafe Sakura four or five times and for some reason they always seem to have problems, something wrong with the electric heaters when it is freezing cold outside, or extremely slow service even when there are very few customers there, or, even worse, waiters who ignore you or literally take hours to serve you, even if... I've been here a bunch of times and never had anything to complain about, but it seems like they have knew chefs that all they know how to do is wasabi and mayo. Went there yesterday, all we could taste was wasabi and mayo in everthing we ate. The normal rolls were extremely hot and tasteless. I hope this isnt... More
