As I need gluten free food this restaurant was excellent, the pizzas were good, the service was fairly okay, although given it was the final of the World cup some of the waiters were more interested in the football than serving customers. Only issue is we wanted to go back on Monday night, however this restaurant is closed on Mondays.

The service was second to none, food was excellent, instead of going once or twice we ended up going every night we could. They made us feel welcome every time. Waiters are friendly, food is cooked to your liking, if it's not on the menu then ask and they will try to make it. The only downside was they are... More

It's sometimes difficult or awkward as a single traveller to enter restaurants. La Cuccagna made me feel welcome and wanted. The service was superb and the food top notch. I ordered fried calamari as a starter followed by seafood pesto pasta both excellent. Tip. Malta portions are huge. Ask for a smaller portion and they will oblige. I never completed... More

La Cuccagna is a family run restaurant that caters primarily for locals. It serves an excellent variety of dishes - from Pizza and Pasta to ribs and steaks. The veal cutlets are one of many great choices, together with the pork ribs and all the pasta dishes. The pizza is one of the best on the Island, standing out for... More

La Cuccagna has great Pizza and pasta dishes and is reasonably priced. We had a "Sicilian" pizza and a linguini with mussels and clams. All of t was very Italian - ie. very good.

The service was friendly and helpful and the food was impressive. Would definitely recommend the pizzas, of which, I went for an octopus one as there is lots of choice,

We have been visiting La Cuccagna for many years, and they can usually be relied on to serve up a good pizza at a reasonable price, although the last time we went the tomato sauce on the pizza wasn't as good as we have had before. We always opt for the 'special' as one of our choices, as it is... More

Will be returning here, the gluten-free pizza was very good. Indeed the base is crusty but the taste it good and we prefer it that way. We chose take-away, were welcomed very well and it was efficient and nice. We will return for sure

Visited La Cuccagana twice while on vacation in Malta. Families and locals seem to flock here and I understand why. Pizzas and pastas are delicious, loaded with generous servings of the freshest ingredients. La Diavola pizza is fantastic, as is one of their meat special pizzas with three different kinds of cured meats (can't remember the name). On the second... More

Maybe we were there on a 'bad' day but we were quite disappointed to be honest. The sauce on the spaghetti bolognese tasted like ketchup but the pasta was 'al dente' at least. The pizza was ok but I didnt find it amazing. If you are after authentic Italian food, I think this is not your place. Also, our waiter... More
