Good fish restaurant in a fishermen's village!

The fishermen's village is sth to be experienced itself, allow some time for walk through the village; you will love the beautiful church, Maltese architecture with its marvelous balconies and doors, you will see a lot of Luzzus - all of them so colorful! The village has loads of nice fish... read more

Once the restaurants in marsaxlokk all used to be good for fish.... Now one has to really be careful which restaurant to chose. The spaghetti ai ricci was really bad and dry. The starters were not bad - fritto misto. However M'xlokk is a very dirty village and very very over rated. Sliema and St Julian's is just another world... More

Despite having made a booking in the morning which to be honest was very dubious as it was never written down and just quickly brushed off by the ladies (sisters?) we arrived at the requested time and there was no table. When we did get seated we sat for around 25 minutes with what must have been invisibility cloaks on.... More

Returning to Ta Frenc now is a "must" for us whenever we are in Malta. In the past we have tried to visit other towns and villages to sample their food but now, if we have been travelling around, we return to the village and to Ta Frenc in particular. This time it was the whitebait which drew us..........! The... More

We arrived not long after the restaurant had opened & sat outside. It is lovely to sit by the sea. However the whole outside area was very dirty, with lots of cigarette butts, food etc. on the ground. The staff were friendly, but a few times we had to call them to get attention as they were all talking together. Most... More

During a recent long break to Malta I had occasion to visit Marsaxlokk several times and from the choice of the many restaurants along the seafront, I always seem to end up at the Three Sisters as Ta Frenc is known locally. I visited alone and with friends and was always greeted warmly. The choice of fish and seafood was... More
