We did order the fresh tuna of the day. It was amasing. Location at the seafront is great. So do you have the cravings for seafood...you can go here!

Fantastic seafood, good prices and a great location horribly let down by up to six serving staff spending their time hanging out together chatting and not actually remembering they need to serve you! We went twice thinking the first time was a one off but we really regretted it. The service was a lot lot worse the second time. So,... More

We initially chose this restaurant because of the menu and that it was busy and assumed that was a good thing, demonstrating their popularity and repeat business. This wasn't the case. We waited over an hour for our food (pasta) and it seems lots of people waited a long time for theirs as well which resulted in lots of people... More

On 13/08/14 my family and I decided to dine at this restaurant. By 8.30pm we had ordered the food which included a starter and a main course. We ordered our drinks which we had to ask at least 3 times to get them to our table. Glasses were not served with the drinks which took us around another 3 times... More

The Mussels where very large, dry and hard, as if they had been left out of the water for hours instead of a fresh steamed batch. The pizza had good ingredients, but all where cut in very large chunks on top of the pizza. It was not very good this way. The kids had a hamburger which had a dry... More

I'd expect every restaurant in this fishing village to know how to cook excellent seafood. I mean, its a fishing village and there's a lot of competition. The grilled seabream was overcooked and dry. The calimari in calimari & sea urchin pasta was overcooked and chewy, and I only found one sea urchin (also overcooked). The pasta sauce was very... More

The taste and ingriedens were terrible. It was not fully cooked... Poor service. Stay away from this "restaurant"!

We came to eat with family visiting from abroad and we were let down with the overall service. The bruschetta which should be a starter came with the main course and my son had already finished eating his pizza before our food came. We were mostly disappointed because it was our final dinner with our family before they left malta.... More

We visited the restaurant on a sunny Sunday afternoon and wanted to enjoy a range of locally caught seafood. Carrubia had by far the most diverse menu compared to other nearby restaurants and cafes. The staff was friendly and nice but we did have to wait approximately 5 minutes to just get the menus. Otherwise, the service was actually pretty... More

We picked this place one evening because their menu looked the best of the many eating places by the sea. However, when my prawn cocktail arrived, the prawns were frozen solid! They apologised and replaced them with another dish of prawns. To my horror the prawns stank to high heaven and on tasting one of them, they were obviously bad... More
