Great place

I love fish and we ended up at Marsaxlokk in Malta and this restaurant couldn't be better! The fishes seems to be breathing even cooked with steamed or baked...they are so fresh, and the fidh soup, the salad all completed my lunch on a wonderful atmosphere, the comfort of the restaurant and the staff. My husband and I enjoyed so... More

We read about this restaurant on Tripadvisor and apparently it's one of the best in Marsaxlokk. Went there on a Sunday when there is the biggest market of the week is on. Imagine how disappointed we were to find upon arriving at 11:45pm: 1) The waitress looked put upon and grumpy. When we asked if we could eat, she told... More

The service was excellent and the food was exceptional. Very good staff, some notable mentions are Ben and Mark and another male waiter who was very friendly which unfortunately didn't catch the name.

This restaurant was extremely accommodating, and graciously allowed me to dine without a reservation. It ended up being one of the best seafood meals I've ever had. Everything must have just been caught that day, was prepared with such care, and was extremely flavorful. I'd highly recommend the shrimp carpaccio, or any of the specials on the menu. Thank you... A restaurant which offers amazing food and service. Waiters are courteous, well mannered and offer the best service ever. Plus the food is impeccable! Don't think you can get better food in Marsaxlokk than at Tartarun.

Nice ambience, excellent service. Have been to this place at least 10 times over the last few years. Excellent food throughout. My weaknesses are the prawn carpaccio and cippullazza (rockfish) cooked al cartoccio. Great selection of wines, daily specials. Try it.

Really fantastic fresh fish! We visited on a Sunday - best to book in advance else you'll be unlikely to get a table. Very helpful staff, food was at a sensible price also.

Very pleased with our meal here. Do not understand the previous review as all I had to do was raise my hand to anyone. It is true we arrived early. The soft shell crab was perfect, the octopus probably the best I've ever had, but I know I have said that before. The plateau royal of shrimp, razor clams, cockles... More

We dropped in on pleasant summers evening because one of our group was a great fish lover, and where better to look for fish than in Marsaxlokk! Sadly we were to leave - a long time later - hugely disappointed - the service was quite dreadful and the food was no great shakes. No, I'm afraid we won't be rushing... More
