We started off with calamari fritti, swordsfish and prawn carpaccios : all excellent. For mains, I had the delicious Tartarun Plateau Royal, which consisted of vongole, mussels, langoustine ,tartufi and prawns. My friends had sea bream... More

A fantastic family owned fish restaurant with amazing, delicious food, impeccable service, great wine list and location. There is nothing more one could ask. Perfect 10 and must visit to eat good fish fishes with a Maltese touch! Bravo!

I don't really like recommending restaurants but when the family suggested dinner in M'Xlokk, I proposed Tartarun as I had heard quite a lot about it. I had never experienced it first hand though and was a bit apprehensive. But in the end everyone was congratulating me for my choice. And they were right. There is absolutely nothing I can... More

I am totally disappointed. As I was offered off the menu and the vongole were empty. Value for money disaster. No salt and pepper on our table.

I went for lunch on Saturday to avoid Sunday crowd and it was a good decision. The village ( and the restaurants are not so crowdy and the service is much better too. Tartarun is widely advertised as best in the village and I can confirm it. The service is very good although a bit snobish - but not too... More

We both enjoyed the Sunday lunch following the visit of this coastal town following the Fish Market. It was carnival and the place was very busy. Anyway, I had booked in advance and I advise you to do the same. I had a prawn carpaccio followed by a lobster bisque pasta, both delicious, my husband had the catch of the... More

We visited without a reservation on a Tuesday evening. Luckily we got a table. We had the complimentary soup which was wonderful then 2 pasta dishes. Mine was local seafood and my fiancée had red mullet. Both were superb. We then had 2 sweets to die for. We are staying for the rest of the week and plan to visit... More

Good quality restaurant just on the sea, on the mai place of Marsaxlokk. Good menu, with traditional revisited dishes. Negative: very slow service. Prices average. Overall a good choice
