One of the best fish restaurant in Malta

Excellent food, location and service. The fish is prepared in the best possible way and I enjoy every time I go back to this place. We had Calamari fritti as a starter, this was fantastic, the best ever and then a fresh wild seabass and a meagre prepared with some chorizo, absolutely superb, it... read more

We had heard great things about Tartarun and so off we headed, a party of five for Sunday lunch. The restaurant was very busy , that was clear but some shortcomings are still not excuseable , especially when eating in an expensive place with a very good reputation. For example, my fork was dirty, and a wine glass had a... More

We arrived during a busy Sunday lunch, but were seated after about 30 mins. Definitely worth the wait, turned out to be the best food we had on Malta. Shrimp carpaccik was amazing, as was the octopus. Seafood supreme for mains, extremely fresh. Service friendly and professional. Chocolate mousse for pudding was great! Without a doubt the best restaurant we've... More

This was definitely the highlight of our trip. We stumbled upon it when we went to visit the Marsaxlokk fish market (a bit if a let down!). My partner had the sashimi of Amberjack with horse radish sauce, and the pigs cheek risotto, with shiitake mushrooms and prawns, both were delicious and faultless, both in execution and taste. I had... More

Ive eaten here several times, mostly to entertain clients. The ambience is great and the food served is ordinarily very good. Rated no.01 in the Marsaxlokk this restaurant has a high reputation and has to deliver not only on service but quality on food, however today's main course did not meet the high expectations this restaurant sets itself. The array... More

We are two italian friends, and ate there twice ( as the first evening we enjoyed very much the food) last week end. The ambience is smart and pleasant, and the service friendly and careful. It was the only full restaurant in the area, and the customers were mainly maltese people. Even if we can speak english, they kindly spoke... More

After reading some great reviews on this site, my girlfriend and I decided to try it out for ourselves and see what Tartarun had to offer. Turned out to be the best decision we could have made! The place is very high-class, tranquil and romantic, staff members were all very polite and helpful and the food was simply exceptional, best... More

Don't be misguided by the signs of an asian restaurant on the building, because it certainly is Tartarun. I've read the reviews here and i decided to have my lunch there when visiting Marsaxlokk. The recption was a bit cool, but during service, everybody was very friendly. As a starter I took the swordfish carpaccio, which was very good and... More

Was recommended this by a friend and was not disappointed. Delicious food and good service. I had soft shell crab followed by a platter of mixed shellfish all of which tasted sublime.
