The best fish is in this restaurant

I've been in Tartarun with friends, and there I had the best fish I ever had. The restaurant is exactly at the sea and it seems that the fish just was from the sea at the exact moment of the order :) I am looking forward to go to that restaurant the first thing when I happen to be in... read more

Visited Tartarun for a dinner with my wife . The atmosphere , service and food are all excellent . Will make it our number one choice for fish. Would love to see Fritto misto being served.

My husband and l visited this restaurant today for Valentine's lunch. We didn't have a booking but management made sure we were accommodated. We had risotto and fried calamari for starters, then shared a local fish (dott) and then we also had dessert. Management gave us suggestions on local fish available and how it would be prepared. I can say... More

What started off badly (our reservation was not noted) turned out to be a pleasant meal. Sharing Antipasti provided an array of original fish starters followed by a tasty pasta with prawns. Water and bottle of 2013 Gavi + coffee and bottom line was € 45 pp. Considering the main course was just pasta Place is a bit pricy. Service... More

This must be the classiest restaurant in Marsaxlokk. There are many good, typical restaurants along the Marsaxlokk sea-front, however if you want fine dining, then this is one of the 2 or 3 restaurants here that you should go to. The ambience and decor is just right for the restaurant that faces the sea and many fishing boats in the... More

This restaurant is opposite the fishing port. It serves a variety of local fish, beautifully cooked in a pleasant and modern setting. If you want the best of fresh fish come here.

Exquisite fine marine cuisine that is genuine, varied, and ably falvoured in a way to retain the real taste of the sea. Huge variety of totally fresh fish and seafood! It is by far better than upper market perceived fish restaurants that charge more cause of their ultra fine-dining ambience. The only down-side is the occasional rowdy patrons table of... More

Marsaxlokk is well known for it's fresh fish restaurants, was very rarely disappointed eating in this area, but Tartarun probably beats the rest. Besides having a vast selection of fresh fish, the food presentation, service and selection is one of the best.

Fine dining experience with great service and good quality food. Lots of fresh fish and other seafood, including a lobster tank. Decent prices and a good wine list. Best way to go is just follow the waiter's advice and let him put together a mixed platter for the table to share. Good location right on the harbour in the best... More
