Consistently serving good "homemade" style food at reasonable prices

I have visited twice in quick succession. I turned up for Sunday lunch without a booking (not advisable) and for dinner on a Friday night a week later. 07/02/15 Today, I went for the first time at this restaurant and I was very disappointed. First off all menus have lack of information about what are ingredients and etc.. I had a spaghetti frutti the mare and that was a nightmare for me. I spent almost 5 hrs with food poisoning, vomiting and diarrhea.. NEVER GO TO THIS KILLER... More

We come to restaurat after 4:00pm. It wast busy. They really care about us so much. We select our fishes from the freezer and they were all so fresh. We ordered our fish as a grilled and also fresh salad for share. We ate fried calamari and octopus as a starter. Both starters, fish and the fresh maltese style of... More

We booked a table for 8 for a Sunday at lunchtime. It was packed. Three of us ordered swordfish. The portions were big but the fish was very dry. The baked potatoes and grilled veg were very good, but I'd ordered boiled vegetables and they never came. I'm sure it was because they were too busy. The staff was very... More

All in all tid was an ok place to have lunch, but there is room for improvement. Razorclams was sandy, staff was watching TV in the restaurant, no cozy atmosphere at all. Prices high considering what we got. Will not return.

Went here for lunch recently. Lot's of Maltese which was a good sign. Restaurant itself is a little bit cavernous but nice enough. A bit disappointed with the starters. I had clams in some sort of garlic sauce which glistened a bit too much and was over salted. My wife had the fish soup which, in complete contrast, seemed to... More

Ir Rizzu is probably one of the oldest of all restaurants on the front of this picturesque fishing village south east on the island of Malta. The sea food is just excellent and their list of fresh local fish is endless. Our Starter was a mixture of local shellfish and shrimp... Delicious! We were five adults and were offered a... More

Another excellent meal for a non fish eater. All the food was freshly prepared, everything concerning the selection of fish and weight was explained very fully before we placed our order and the meal was prepared to perfection.

We really enjoyed our meal and the bustling atmosphere in this fairly large quayside restaurant. Service was perhaps efficient rather than friendly but the quality of the fish shone through. Good desserts too.

I was in Marsaxlokk with friends and wanted lunch and we decided to go for a name we had been familiar with from the past rather than the many competitors which have now sprouted up along the sea-front. The decor is bland though clean. The service was slow and indifferent. And the biggest issue was the food - two of... More
