Set in a picturesque bay in the village of Birzebbugia, on the site of a battery built by a Knight of St. John, Ferretti Restaurant boasts the perfect surroundings for a memorable dining experience.A good location is just a part of our story, however. We believe in building a long-lasting relationship with our guests, and once you have settled down and taken in the relaxing and unique ambiance of the restaurant, I will take you through an exciting range of Mediterranean dishes, which are the mainstay of our rich menu.Having made your choice, all that remains for you to do is sit back and enjoy the food that our chef will prepare using the finest and freshest ingredients, accompanied by a bottle of fine wine brought to you from the ancient vaults of this historic building. The battery which hosts the restaurant was built by the Knight Francesco Maria Ferretti in around 1715.

On having lunch at this restaurant we ended up utterly disappointed with the service. It is a shame because on previous visits we were always satisfied with the service, which is why we came back for lunch together with our relatives, a group of fifteen in all and had booked well in advance. We actually were celebrating my father's 81st... More

A big thank you to all the staff at Ferretti for making my daughter's wedding a truly memorable occasion. A special thank you goes to the duty manager Matthew who went out of his way to ensure that everything was perfect. Thank you Matthew for keeping so cool, calm and collective in 35 degrees temperatures. The meal was excellent of... More

we booked coz we wanted to treat our clients and we specifically went there for fish, we informed them when we booked. When we went there the fish was very old and they had only 5 fishes at 7.30pm. they gave us the wrong names of the fish. I asked the manager to do something as we were treating clients... More

A restaurant with a difference. An old defence battery, dating back to the mid 1500s, has been converted into a modern restaurant. Menu variety is good although would have preferred a more extensive wine choice. The place was rather too noisy for my liking and staff seemed run off their feet with work. Waiting time for my bill was too... More

Went there on a Friday eve, it was my birthday (12th July). Place was very busy and noisy and it was quite hot in the covered part where we were seated. My husband's salmon was perfectly cooked but my fillet steak was not cooked medium as i had asked for, but cooked well done and was a bit burnt on... More

Came to eat here last night with some family members and I absolutely LOVED it! The restaurant itself is just gorgeous...set in an old historic fort, with a superb outdoor dining terrace and great view over the seaside. It is also very clean and nicely decorated. The restaurant has a wonderful feel about it. The menu is varied and leans... More

We visited Ferretti on a Monday evening and it was reasonably busy. The waiters could be trained a little better in their customer handling skills and could be more welcoming. Once shown to our table and provided with menus we were ignored until they were ready to take our food order. I prefer to enjoy a drink while browsing the... More

I have been to Ferretti for a number of times and I was never disapointed. There is a good choice of food and you can always find something for your taste. The menu varies from fish, meat, chicken, pasta and pizza. Last time I visited I tried the "Sargu" from the fresh fish choise and it was perfectly cooked and... More
