This is my first TripAdvisor review, but after our experience tonight I feel compelled to write it. We walked the extra bit based on so many glowing reviews, and were greeted with a gruff seating and ushered off in the corner next to some parked cars. We played it safe and ordered cheese ravioli and grandma's ftira. The sampler meatballs... More

We almost didn't go to this restaurant because it is quite a way from the main square and there is a great choice of venues there but we are really pleased we made the effort. It was a cooler evening so we decided to sit inside. When we entered the place there was nobody else in but Tony and the... More

Dont be fooled by the shabby exterior, or interior for that matter, the food here is excellent! Tony loves nothing more than to join you for a chat and ply you with his home-made wine (potent stuff!), whilst his wife Carmen takes real pleasure in seeing you devour the tasty treats she brings out for you. We have never been... More

We dined here twice and really loved it. Tony and his family were really welcoming and it was great to have a chat. The food was truly tasty with huge portions and great value for money. Tony's own wine was amazing too! I would thoroughly recommend it and can say this is the best place to eat in Xaghra -... More

On more than one occasion, we had canx our reservation at this family run restaurant, finally we managed to make it for lunch. Am not gonna elaborate what we had or eat because all the different dishes were cooked & prepared with exquisite aromatic herb's & taste. Don't expect silver service but I can guarantee that you won't regret it.... More

We have been on Gozo a week and this meal was definitely the best and most authentic we have eaten. This must be one of the best places left where you can get genuine Gotzian cuisine, cooked with local herbs and vegetable. The rabbit was out of this world. And Tony's wine was so delicious. we bought a bottle to... More

Our first stay@Tal-Furnar was in summer 2010, we come back since then. The only Problem is on Wednesday - its closed! We love the Furnarettis, Spaghettis with Rabbit sauce, Pizza is the best arround the world, local lamb and braggiolis are my personal meat favorites. But in lampuki season, it's the fish and the lampuki pie. Ask for, it is... More
