Fantastic fine dining

A place to go for a treat, great service, spotless upmarket place with fine food to go with it. Imposing but not intimidating.

I choose this restaurant to celebrate my 61st Birthday with my wife and as usual Joseph and his team lived up to its reputation. The food, the wine, the exceptional venue, the friendly exchanges with the staff helped to make this a memorable event. This is what makes us keep returning.

the best restaurant in Gozo. Pity the owner died but staff managed to keep up the excellent range of dishes and wines. Probably close to a Michelin 1 restaurant.

We enjoyed a very pleasant evening here, in the lovely surroundings. We ate from the a la carte menu's daily specials choosing Camembert / mushroom and truffle croquettes for starters, followed by grouper fish / chicken for mains and the crepes suzette for desserts. The food was sublime, served at a leisurely pace by professional but unobtrusive waiters. I tried... More

Visited on valentines day, we took the 7-course set menu. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Gozo, definitely recommend for a special occasion. Food was superb and had its own unique taste and presentation. Atmosphere was very nice, slightly noisy at times (but it is expected of a fully booked restaurant, I guess). Service was very nice too.

I've been going to Ta' Frenc since it first opened, more than 30 years ago and I have always enjoyed it. The food is delicious, the service is attentive and the venue is beautiful. It's not cheap, but worth every penny!

The Night was very enjoyable with piped in haggis, an authentic meal of haggis, neaps and tatties, free flowing malt whisky, excellent company and Jozef and his staff topped off the evening with very good service. This event has already been noted in my diary for next year. Well done Ta' Frenc

Went with baby and stroller not a problem. Food was magnificent so was the top service. We got a free wine cellar tour! Also took a bottle their finest liquor back home. Cheers.

Five star venue, five star staff, five star food. What more is there to say! We were so satisfied when we left and chatting happily to newfound friends that we completely forgot to pay.... Went back the next day to pay and apologize, and the staff could not have been nicer about it. Looking forward to my next visit, may... More

Holiday hadn't got off to the best start. My wife had fallen & hurt her leg, & morale wasn't high. Found Ta Frenc for Sunday lunch, & everything changed! Quiet elegance, very good service, and truly excellent food with some good local dishes. I had a fish soup & then some rabbit. Plus a bottle of local red which went... More
