A night to rememeber

Service was very nice too.

I've been going to Ta' Frenc since it first opened, more than 30 years ago and I have always enjoyed it. The food is delicious, the service is attentive and the venue is beautiful. It's not cheap, but worth every penny!

The Night was very enjoyable with piped in haggis, an authentic meal of haggis, neaps and tatties, free flowing malt whisky, excellent company and Jozef and his staff topped off the evening with very good service. This event has already been noted in my diary for next year. Well done Ta' Frenc

Went with baby and stroller not a problem. Food was magnificent so was the top service. We got a free wine cellar tour! Also took a bottle their finest liquor back home. Cheers.

Five star venue, five star staff, five star food. What more is there to say! We were so satisfied when we left and chatting happily to newfound friends that we completely forgot to pay.... Went back the next day to pay and apologize, and the staff could not have been nicer about it. Looking forward to my next visit, may... More

Holiday hadn't got off to the best start. My wife had fallen & hurt her leg, & morale wasn't high. Found Ta Frenc for Sunday lunch, & everything changed! Quiet elegance, very good service, and truly excellent food with some good local dishes. I had a fish soup & then some rabbit. Plus a bottle of local red which went... More

We had one of the most memorable meals here in early July 2014. We had heard about the place online, and our host booked us in. There was only another two or three tables that night, but as soon as we walked in we were amazed. It was decorated beautifully and we chose to sit outside in the lush garden... More

Three months have passed since my wife and I last dined at Ta` Frenc and we choose a Sunday night for our return. What a surprise to be welcomed as if only a shorter time had elapsed!!! Safely inside from the adverse weather, we felt so cosy and pampered by Joseph and his staff. The flambe` seafood starter and the... More

Went with my wife to celebrate our anniversary and I have some comments. The food was good although overpriced. Service impeccable although very fast, not enough time to digest between your first and second course. Our first was a lobster soup and it was served after a few minutes of our order.

We visited this restaurant as a special celebration evening. The service was excellent, waiter was attentive and atmosphere quiet but relaxed. The starters were unusual (eg crab rissotto with avocado ice cream ) and the main courses were exceptional. We didn't choose from the set menu as we thought it would be too much and were happy to settle for... More
