First of all, this restaurant is perfect for Dates. Its charming, small and cosy. The service is very "Italian" if you like that you are right here. For me its some times a bit to much. The starters are tasty but also just average. Some of the mains are excellent, for example the duck breast is delicious. The prices are... More

If visiting Victoria (Rabat) for the day make it late afternoon! See the citadel and then Shop, open at 4pm for a bit of retail therapy, which will then give you plenty of time to wander down the back streets and find this quaint bistro which opens at 7pm. We turned up early and was shown a wonderful courtyard where... More

We found this charming bistro hidden amongst the streets of Victoria. The restaurant had plenty of character. The menu was extensive. The meal we had was delicious, extremely fresh ingredients. Our greatest memory was the service received from the one gentleman serving, very attentive, extremely knowledgeable about the wines and food. A very pleasurable experience, highly recommended.

Tucked away behind Savina Square in the middle of Rabat down Mons Vella St at #18 on the left you will find Maldonado, which despite its name is much more than a bistro. Down the steps into the beautifully stone vaulted and atmospherically lit space is a culinary delight mixing local Gozitan, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine. And very effectively... More

The review I did not want to post !, I want to keep this place to myself !!! The restaurant is a little hard to find but is well worth a visit. A warm welcome, a nice selection of mains and a good wine list all make for a perfect evening. 4 in our party, 2 had lamb mains and... More

We went to Maldonado based on the recommendation from out B&B host. It is the old wine cellar for the Citadella so every dining area is intimate and cozy. They were very attentive and provided us friendly, prompt service before and during the meal, but did not hurry us, especially after the meal. I had the rabbit dinner, which is... More

We ate here twice. The atmosphere in this underground bistro is very pleasant and the service is excellent. We had a very good meal the first. Time when we chose the North African specialties. We were less fortunate the second time with the Gozitan rabbit which was the only rabbit I didn't enjoy in Malta. However I would recommend this... More

I visited this restaurant twice during an eight night stay on Gozo. The first time was with friends who are locals and I was so impressed I went back two days later with my friend with whom I was on holiday. The restaurant itself is beautiful with a great atmosphere and the service fantastic. The menu is quite extensive and... More
