Lovely restaurant in The Citadel with great rooftop views

This was a nice restaurant to have lunch in. We were the only ones there when we went so were given our pick of seating. We went up to the rooftop outdoor deck which was lovely but as it was windy, we decided to relocate inside. It's like dining in a castle. I had the goat stew, which was great... read more

Nice people in an attractive location within the Citadel, but food no better than 'ordinary'. Tomato and garlic sauce with spaghetti very weak and lacking real flavour. Platter of cheese and tomato ok, but less than interesting. We should have tried the recommended rabbit stew!

Every time we visit Gozo, we make sure we have lunch at Ta' Rikardu. They have the traditional Gozitan lunch, with tomatoes, capers, peppered cheese, gozitan cheese, onions, sun dried tomatoes... the most scrumptious bread. Make it a must!!!

I knew about the restaurant from the previous reviews and I decided to give it a try. And I did not regret it at all. I decided for rabbit in Rikardu's winesauce and my friend took baby goat. The dishes were absolutely excellent, the rabbit was soooo juicy and the baby goat very well cooked. And the fact that from... More

This is a little gem hidden in the citadella. The citadella had lots of works being done at the time of our visit so the restaurant was very difficult to access, but it had been recommended so we persevered... What we hadn't been told was that the restaurant boasts a small but AMAZING roof terrace from which you tower above... More

I had been here years ago and it was nice to come back. We were able to sit on the roof terrace with stunning views over the island and the citadel. The menu features lots of local produce and we sampled the Gozitan platter with a bottle of wine from the establishment's own vineyard on Gozo. Everything was delicious and... More

Sadly the Citadel in Victoria is under-going major renovation works but this little café tucked away at the side of the Citadel is a two floor restaurant café which is quite a treat. Hopefully it will survive the upheaval taking place around it with wonderful lunch time food to enjoy.

Restaurant is located in narrow alley next to the cathedral. Small selection of the food, but the food is great. Great ambient with mideval touch. And fairly cheap prices.

It was a compleat surprise visiting the citadel to find this place within its walls. We felt like having a coffee so decide take a look. It's quite a relaxed, traditional looking place with a bar, tables and chairs on the ground floor. There are also some cabinets at the back with poetry and glass vases for sale from Gozo.... More

We ate on the rooftop terrace with an amazing view around. The food was delicious. We shared the platter for 2 washed down with a glass of wine each. The platter had cheese, capers, onions, tomatoes, dried tomatoes, olives, fresh country bread, balsamic and olive oil. YUM! Plenty for 2. Great value meal. Lovely setting. Shop on the ground floor...
