Description: The main ingredient which makes Menqa L'Antika stand out from the crowd is the attention to detail. From the decor to ambiance, to the raw produce assessed day after day for quality by chef patron Gordon Camilleri, results in an incomparable dining experience. The talented chef, whom through experience has tasted most Mediterranean and European fusion, has gone back to childhood, bringing you the original immaculate taste of Gozo’s native kitchen while using the islands’ tasteful produce from its limited space. This has contributed to the exceptional gastronomy of our earliest traditions…

Menqa L'Antika never disappoints. Thanks Gordon and Joselle for consistently providing us with some of our most memorable meals of our holidays in Marsalforn. Highlights as always the Gozitan cheese skewers and the mushroom tart. Best pastry ever!

Food was simply superb. Ate in 10 different restaurants locally. 3 stood out as excellent, this one, Chez Amand and Oleanders. My wife thought the rabbit livers were amazing. For me it is the simple things done well such as the house freshly made spaghetti with anchovies and olives. Great service from Josetta.

The food here was average. 2 of us dined, one had tuna steak, that was still partly raw, and 1 had chicken in pankaces, that was just OK. The service throughout was slow, from taking the order, through to receiving the bill. Average all-round,- with far better restaurants in the vicinity, this one needs to up its game.

We ate here twice in our week in Marsalforn - the food ranged from good to outstanding. It has a lovely family run feel with friendly service. Apart from the food, it is small details like high quality cutlery and glassware that set it apart from the majority of Marsalforn restaurants. The spaghetti bottarga is a must-try dish!

This was the first restuarant we tried on our two week break and would like to have gone back for more but were foodies and wanted to try as many as we could. The kings prawns cooked in a pernot sauce and flambayed at our table which was a bit of a show stopper as everyone in the restuarant wanted... More

As part of our routine trip to Marsalforn, we decided to try this restaurant. Overall, it was far beyond our expectations. We experienced very high quality service, the staff were friendly and offered to take a picture of me and my family. The food was tasty and local, high portion sizes impressed me. It was a mystery as to why... More

Menqa L ‘Antika Restaurant. Marsalforn, Gozo, Malta We had an excellent meal and made to feel extra welcome and special. The food was excellent and reasonable priced, as were the wines, we would highly recommend this restaurant.

From the welcome to the goodbye, everything about Menqua L'Antika is first class. The food is excellent, freshly roasted potatoes and grilled vegetables with tender suckling pig and fantastic calamari. Great wine (no. 56 on the list if you are interested). All in all a great experience and we will definitely go back. Easily the best we have eaten in... More

Had arrived in Marsalforn intending to try Pulena however this was closed. Our group of 4 decided to try Menqa L'Antika. We were glad that we did, the location is scenic and central in Marsalforn. The decor is great with crisp white table arrangements. I found the service attentive. We had mains only however tasty bruschetta and breads were provided... More
