A Lovely Restaurant!

We have been coming to the restaurant for over the last 12 years now whenever we are on Gozo for our holiday. We have never been let down. The food is fantastic and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. There is outside seating which is in an ideal location to watch the world go by and also... read more

This was always on the top of my list for good restaurants in Gozo. Sadly Mr Amand retired and the restaurant (including the name) was bought by Italians. I love Italian food, so of course I was keen to try it out, which I did today with a friend. Suffice to say, I would never go back. My friend's rabbit... More

This great Gozo restaurant changed hands in early March 2015. Still called the same name It is now run by some Italians and offers a limited menu of basic Gozitan style fare. A very different experience to when Amand had it.

If you have the chance to eat here soon don't hesitate; Amand will be retiring soon! Excellent sea food cannelloni starter followed by delicious sea bass and exquisite crepe. All very unpretentious and down to earth and tasty! Service was impeccable in this family run restaurant.

Absolutely loved this place.... Every morning to start our day we would be there for morning drinks and would often visit for dinner. The favorite meal had to be the rib eyed steak the sauces and toppings were out of this world.... The staff would make you feel so welcome which is why we found ourselves going back everyday :)... We enjoyed the visit as in spite of having a sleeping baby with us, Amanda and especially his daughter made us feel very welcome.

The size of starters was a bit disappointing. I had the Flemish stew, which was quite tasty. The desserts are homemade according to the waitress, but I did not think they were all that special. They do offer a few Belgian beers you won't find elsewhere on the island, which is nice if you are looking for a taste of... More

Really great lunch in a good location that has a family party feel. Owner / chef in attendance and very friendly to people he knew. We engaged in conversation with lady on next table

We enjoyed dining at Chez Amand so much we kept going back for more... the kid's didn't mind at all - not only did they tuck into the lovely fresh fried fish and chips while we enjoyed a more grown up meal (though of course having to tuck into some of thier's too) of freshly caught local fish we all...
