Excellent, friendly service. Very impressive and creative New Year's eve menu making the choices difficult. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was delicious and the entrée of steak and lobster (with stuffed potato, roast tomato and red onion|) prepared perfectly. Everything was hot and the presentation was beautiful; the chef obviously cooks with passion. Would love to try the other menu items... More

Thanks for coming to our little New Years Eve Dinner. Glad we were able to exceed you expectations! We are always looking to push the limits of what people think little town restaurants can offer! More

liked the service and the food. like most places, the older wait staff can sometimes regard you suspiciously but that's small towns. after awhile, they come around.

Banjo's a great little restaurant. We've eaten here a few times when we've been passing through Hastings. We've never had a bad meal. The food has always been excellent. And the restaurant itself has a nice casual vibe. The biggest drawback is the place is small and it's popular. This means you could have to wait for a table if... More

We stopped at this restaurant last night while passing through the area. The restaurant looks a little run down and had it not been for the good trip advisor reviews we probably would not have stopped. We started with the deep fried mushrooms which were ok but would not necessarily order again. My husband had the reuben sandwhich which he... More

This is a great little restaurant. My wife and I have a place on the Rice Lake and frequently have breakfast, lunch or dinner at this restaurant between May and October of each year. The food is great, service is great and the restaurant is very clean. You won't be disappointed.

Our visit to the village of Hastings was part of an extended boating trip this summer. On the day of our arrival to Hastings, it was very windy, making our planned for outdoor BBQ a non-starter, so we sought out a nearby restaurant for dinner. With it's close proximity to the marina we were staying at, as well as somewhere... More

Thank you for your visit to our quaint country rustic restaurant in Hastings. I am glad to hear that your meals were enjoyable on our outdoor patio. With differing food preferences and sensitivities it does become challenging sometimes but I am happy we were able to meet your needs. I can also reassure you that our patio chairs, although slim... Wow what a surprise! Small restaurant right at the water and locks for the Trent River outside the window! 5 people ate and were VERY impressed. Great service and all the food including the bread is HOME MADE! Do not miss the grilled club sandwich - over the top! Had corned beef and cabbage soup that could have been a... More
