In my trip to Azores, with my the "must visit" list Borda d'Água was in top 5 restaurants to try.

What a great place to eat the best of the Azores sea ! You must try a white wine to get along with the fish, Terras de Lava is my suggestion.

First of all, this place is not anywhere close to where Trip advisor thinks it is. Put the address into Google maps and find it that way. Shrimp was over cooked. Squid too. Rubbery. The waitress knew nothing about wine. She talked to a customer nonstop for a half hour ignoring us. Go to Bar Caloura instead! Excellent simply prepared... More

Beautiful tiles inside and right next to the fishing port in Lagoa. Friendly staff and goos value menu options. Brilliant fresh fish.

We had our first meal in Lagoa here - the family enjoyed their food on the whole but my steak was dry and unimpressive. Service also not great. Subsequently discovered much better places nearby.

One of my favourite restaurant in my stay in Açores. Typical restaurant with a great variety of fish and delicious entrances. The prices was a little bit high but according to average prices in S. Miguel.

The restaurant is cozy and clean, the staff kind and efficient and the fish is simply amazing! We went there twice in 5 days because it was just too good. Very reasonable price for high quality! Absolutely to try! It worths to go there also if you are staying in other parts of the island! I recommend the sword fish... More

Big portions of delicious portuguese food. The king prawns are fantastic here and the girls work really hard to make everyone feel comfortable.

We were recommended this place by a local fisherman. He promised really nice food and a simple but cosy environment. We were not disappointed. I think this was our nicest meal while on Sao Miguel and it wasn't the most expensive one either.
