Great local destination

The food is simple but so tasty. We had to ask for water a couple of times, but the food was delivered to the table quickly. Good cheap food perfect for a quick, informal meal.

We had heard a rumor that the owners of the former Valley Corner Restaurant had moved to the burbs and we went on a cross town mission. Missing our favourites we were delighted to find them all on the menu. Shallot pancakes, Salt and pepper Squid, pan fried dumplings, juicy roast duck. Still the fast and no frill service, generous... Was so disappointed going to laksa hut. I have been going to them for almost 13 years since they were in toowong. Not sure what happened last year or so the quality has fallen dramatically and now their signature hainan chicken rice is not even edible no more. We saw the chef added whole heap of salt rock on the... More

Our Daughter lives in Corinda and thinks this is the best food in Brisbane So we thought we would give it a go I read reports on TA first and did not seem that good but thought still give it a GO. Well we were not disappointed My wife and daughter had the mix veg curry noodle soup and loved... More

Had early tea before a movie and the sun beat into the dining area turning it into an oven Tried the combination noodle soup and chicken laksa. The meat in the noodle soup was good, the noodles under cooked and the soup was thin and tasteless. The Laksa was likewise thin and loaded with chili The price is top dollar and... More

It is relocated from Toowong. The location and decoration improved a lot. The taste is still the same buy quantity reduced. Less meat, less veg, less everything

They have gone a little upmarket after their move from Toowong, but at heart this is cheap and cheerful dining. I've never actually had the laksa here. I make a beeline for the rendang, and have not been disappointed. Friendly staff.

2d review, only because the restaurant appears to have made a subtle transformation, for the better. The new staff are seasoned proprietors, to include, the son, handsome college grad, who was only a babe in arms when we first frequented their Chinatown restaurant. Trust me, these folks are 'fairdinkum' and distinct in customer approach, however, I do miss the Chinese... More

The food is OK, never too crowded. The price is reasonable. The only problem is the opening time. I don't see a sign stating the time it is opened. Sometimes when I thought it should be open, it is closed, on holidays when I think it is closed, it is open!
