The restaurant is well known and you should make a reservation. They have greated a french-icelandic cuisine. They use icelandic base and deliver a complete culinary experience, but the price is on the steep side.

If you are wanting to have seafood prepared the traditional Icelandic way, then stop by here for dinner. It is a small little place so try and get reservations, they fill up quickly. The staff is very friendly and prompt. The food is expensive, but so is all the food in Iceland. I would recommend ordering something you can't get... More

I went here based on the the TV show "No Reservations" and I wasn't let down! I had the house specialty the Hashed Fish with Brown bread and it was delicious! The group I was with, we split the smoked puffin as an appetizer and the Skyr brulee for dessert. Both very good! Tip: Go for lunch its the same... More

This came highly recommended on many food and travel blogs so naturally we had to try it. Make reservations as it is small and popular. Of course, we had the smoked puffin, while sashimi (so good!!) and the horse tenderloin. Gastro heaven. And the chefs know how to keep the meats natural with minimal excess. You won't regret trying this... More

Visited with a group of 12 for a business meeting. We made reservations in advance. They don't have tables large enough to seat us but we were all put in a small room next to one another so it worked out well. Food was fantastic

This is a wonderful restaurant. Yes, they have horse, puffin, whale, and guillemot on the menu and I choose not to eat them. The food is traditional, and this is one of the reasons I travel, to discover the cuisine of other places. You will find mostly locals here which I think is a good sign. I had a delicious... More

Recommended by a local for it's more traditional great local dishes. Reservations are needed, so call ahead. Food was excellent, service was a little slow though. We'd recommended this

We went to this place after it was recomended to us by a couple locals. A bit out of the way from teh main tourist area itt was quant and welcoming. The menu had a wide range of choices of fish combinations, and some more daring ones like horse or whale. Tried the smoked puffin to start, one of the... More

Small, cosy restaurant. We tried the hakkiri to start with - more for a dare than anything else, but followed on with plukkfisk and a tenderloin of horse. Both were absolutely amazing. The Skyr brûlée for dessert was great to. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone coming to Iceland.

A small local establishment only ten minutes walk from the city centre. Friendly attentive multilingual staff possess great knowledge about the items available on the menu. The decor is something from a 1990's restaurant (even the tables have fresh flowers on them) but maintains a clean functioning atmosphere. Fresh bread & butter is served straight after you order drink and... More
