Looked like a posh burger place from the outside menu. Actually has great food, onion soup, lamb (2 ways), great ice cream. All at a fair price

Used this restaurant twice in four days. Ideal location to where we stayed. Staff very pleasant, in particular the lady from Catalonia. Vegetarian choice was good, but my partner being the more adventurous of us two, tried the shark and trio of herring, which he said was tasty. Pleasant decor, not overly fussy, but very pleasant atmosphere. Suitable for couples,... More

Hard to tell what this place would be like on a busy lunch or evening but it was extremely clean, tidy and welcoming on a mild Sunday afternoon. Staff were friendly and (thankfully) spoke brilliant English. Fresh water brought to the table immediately and a polite attitude all round. We opted for two burgers, one whale and one beef. The... My wife and I arrived without a booking at 9pm on a Saturday; the restaurant was busy but not full and we were told we could have a table if we waited for 5 minutes. We stood at the bar until we were shown to a table and handed a menu. We were then left at the table for 15... More

Had lunch here last Saturday 8th November. Lovely ambience in the restaurant and great service. I had the baked camembert, and my boyfriend had the onion soup. We both enjoyed the main - lobster tails with garlic butter and garlic bread - a very large portion. Felt it was good value for the amount of lobster. It wasn't the best... More

Situated near the town centre & only five minutes walk from the harbour, the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere. I had been recommended Geysir by someone on Twitter. Whilst not exceptional the food was very good and the best value we had whilst in Rejkyavik. As with many Icelandic restaurants the menu is limited, I assume due to large proportion... More

The food and ambience in Geysir was really nothing to write home about. The food was very 'pub grub' but was without a doubt the most expensive meal we had in Iceland in 8 days. No real ambience in the place, and the service was average. I wouldn't go back having experienced other, much better and cheaper places.

I ate here with my girlfriend and it was a pleasant atmosphere with good service. The restaurant is well decorated and homely. We both ate the salted cod which did taste delicious but was barely warm. It was also served with glacé figs which made the dish far to sweet for my taste. There was also a small unidentified stone-like... More

Stopped at this bistro one evening after finding no room at the Tapas bar. Some seats were available but filled fast. Big menu variety, Icelandic cuisine and other more common dishes like fish and chips. My friend had the whale burger, something you must try once! Great little place!
