Make sure you try their Fish of the day. It was magnificent, we enjoyed every bit of it. Wouldn't say it was really cheap though, but it was definitely worth it.

Close to Reykjavik's main attractions and a good place for a more informal meal. Good choice of burgers, salads, fish and also some Indian dishes. I went for a salmon starter followed by a chicken salad washed down with some local beer. Food , atmosphere and service were good and prices quite reasonable for icelandic standards.

Friendly staff and lovely food in a very pleasant restaurant right in the centre of town. And it didn't break the bank either.

Located in the heart of the shopping area.....grab a table outside, great people watching. The burgers and fries were first rate and was the salad with chicken with a satay dressing. Service was excellent....highly recommend.

Food was not so nice, the fish didn't seem like it was fresh and no mustard sauce with the smoked salmon was a disappointment. Staff was ok but the service could have been better.

I had breakfast here two days running on a recent three day visit to Iceland. A continental buffet, all the food was very fresh, staff were both very friendly and helpful and a very reasonable price as well. Would not hesitate to recommend the Solon to other visitors.

I visit Reykjavik quite often and when there, I always go to the Solon Bistro. If you want a bite to eat, chat over a glass of wine or enjoy a coffee with friends, then this is the place to be. A great atmosphere with an eclectic mix of clientele from shoppers to artists, writers, work colleagues and small groups... More

We chose this restaurant at random, just by wandering around and looking at menus. We liked the feel of this restaurant--cozy but urban, friendly enough for families with young kids yet still sophisticated. The main courses were wonderful. The salmon was grilled and served in a delicate dill creme sauce, with an unusual kind of potato and roasted vegetables. The... More

Paid 6810 krona (approx $68 CAD) for our meal for two - chicken and pasta and a single glass of wine. We ate here our first night in Reykjavik. I have come to realize that the prices for eating out at a sit down restaurant are the same everywhere on the island, but at first this seemed outrageous. The portions... More

Visited Reykjavik as my husband is from there. The country is quite expensive but beautiful. We met with several members of his family and had lovely snacky food, desserts and nibbles. Earlier that day we had had a light lunch in there. The atmosphere was great and I would definitely go there again next time we visit Iceland
