So the four of us were staying at the Radisson blu Saga, and on our first night were too knackered to head down into town. On that basis we decided to try the Grillid since it didn't mean we had to go outside! Wow, was that a good choice. We all went for the 'surprise' four course tasting menu. It... More

This was a little surprise - we had no idea it even existed until my Step-Dad accidentally took the lift all the way to the top floor. The view is breathtaking. You can see so much of Reykjavik! We had some lovely cocktails followed by some incredible courses. Lobster soup, traditional Icelandic snacks, ray and lamb. We did want to... More

Since I was staying at the Saga Hotel I decided to give it's own restaurant a try on my last evening in Reykjavik. And I didn't regret it. The service was excellent. For starters I had a good reindeerpate, while I had fish for the mail course. While I was waiting for my starters I got a small plate with... More

The game/smoked meat plate looked a bit off-putting at first but I ended up eating a lot of it, even though normally I'm not a bit meat eater. The ling was absolutely delicious and the cheesecake with bilberry sorbet was also, very unusual.

Whilst the hotel wasn't great, this 8th floor restaurant was a nice surprise. The service and ambience was very good and the meal itself was excellant. Even the chef popped out with a dish. Highly rcommended.

Our party of 3, with some misgivings, decided to eat at our hotel restaurant. Otherwise, Grillid is not in a part Reykjavik that is densely packed with alternatives but is not remote from downtown either. We have been heavily into the fine dining scene during this week in Reykjavik. The meal at Grillid stands out as the best. The view... More

I arrived by myself in Reykjavik just around dinner time and decided to try the hotel restaurant. Luckily I found the way to the top floor, because I had a great experience.
