Excellent restaurant in an awful hotel

Excellent quality restaurant on the 8th floor of the Radisson Saga - well worth the visit. Modern, with good views and excellent food. The four course tasting menu, for the quality and price, is exceptional. The sommelier is a bit up himself when prowling the room, but the food is really lovely and... read more

For years I have been wanting to go to Iceland - the photos on the tube kept on haunting me to go with images of healthy Icelandic people, images of the Blue Lagoon, Gulfoss waterfall and many more places to go. Grillio *spelling* Restaurant thoroughly deserves to be one of those images which tempt people to go to Iceland and... More

It was Wednesday evening, not crowded. The service was very good, kind polite staff. The menu was limited, only view dishes on a la cart, but they offered thw table menus, One seven dishes and the other 4 dishes. In my group we were 5 adults, 3 children so the selection offered did not fit. But we ordered and after... More

Local foods prepared exquisitely to bring out their full flavors. The preparations and presentations were unique and creative without being pretentious. Everything came together very well and very balanced. I had an excellent dining experience, and the 4-course meal was perfect. Many thanks to Elisa who is really nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The service was outstanding and greatly... More

Ate there with family in July. Chef who has competed in the Bocuse d'or competition is renowned in Iceland and certainly lived up to his reputation. Had the large 7 course menu which was truly excellent and impressive all the way through. 3 fish courses (Halibut, langoustine and plaice) perfectly grilled and arranged. The course with the well hung Icelandic... More

Great view of the city, outstanding food presented beautifully and nicely paired with some very good wines. A bit "spendy" but worth it for the whole experience and great service.

We had a superb meal, with one outstanding course after another. The herb-based broth over local tomatoes was memorable. The langoustine, halibut and beef were full of flavor. All this with a spectacular view, and impeccable, personable service.

Great dishes, flavors and ambiance. Expensive and worth it. The staff were attentive and explained the mixtures of flavors we would experience.

I have never been disappointed in Grillid. The amazing view is appetizing on its own and the interior has a certain charm. But most importantly, the food is first class.
