The spaghetti frutti di mare was very tasty, I had vast amounts of lobster, prawn & mussels on my plate and the spaghetti was faultless. Service was good, especially the waiter from Surrey, she was very attentive. My partners spinach and ricotta cannelloni was full of flavour and the presentation was second to none. We would definitely visit again. Please... More

A recommendation from our Hotel, but thinking about it, why go to an Italian restaurant in Iceland? Our meal was fair, and the restaurant was really nice, however the service let it down and whilst price wise it was on a par with other Reykjavik restaurants, (horrendously high) it would not be on our list for a return visit.

We are on a 4 day trip to Reykjavik and decided on Caruso by chance. We read no reviews and took no advice. The fish soup (starter) was fabulous, the snails were plump and tender and the mushrooms tasty. The pasta mains were excellent but the lamb was exceptional - yes, the best lamb I have ever had in a... More

Really enjoyed our food but felt a bit let down by the waiting staff one of whom seemed to have a take it or leave it attitude. I would go back but would book a table and ask for downstairs and in a room not a passageway!

Food is excellent, have only tried their fish dishes but have loved them both. The food is good. Well prepared and fresh. They've moved from the yellow building and their new space though more formal in appearance is very nice. Service was a little bit slow but the restaurant is very busy. Friendly staff.

This was to be a nice meal for my partner and me but the place has recently changed location and is now in a traditional house on main street. The upstairs has sloping roofs so if your tall - bang! Wait to get a table was nearly 1 hr (advised 30-40mins) - wait for meal 45mins! Then it was cold... More

We had an excellent meal here on our last night in Iceland and went on recommendation from my daughter. We weren't disappointed. Menu is quite wide and varied and suits vegetarians and carnivores alike, although as they'd just moved into new premises they couldn't do pizzas without their wood-oven. A great shame as I'm sure it would have added to... More

Lovely Italian place, with a fantastic menu. Our three course meal was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely eat here again.

We were recommended to go here by the guy in the trip place. We were greeted warmly and the experience just got better. The food was delicious and well presented. Service throughout was very good.

We booked this restaurant for New Years Eve. Iceland restaurants are very busy and difficult to get a booking at this time of year. After reading reviews we managed to get into Caruso. I will keep this simple, I had snails in garlic butter a a started and a rack of lamb in a red wine sauce as a main,... More
