Very good little italian place!

The place is very cozy and nicely decorated. At night, the place is lit by candlelight and dim light, which is nice. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Very attentive to clients, thus we left a nice tip. The food was very good and tasty, fresh products and homemade. I appreciated the... read more

We visited with 3 children at a busy time in the evening and had to wait a very long time for the food to arrive. The very apologetic waitress found us a free carafe of house red wine to ease the wait, and plenty of bread to keep the kids happy, but the delay was just far too long to... More

The restaurant is nice and very cosy, service was excellent but the lamb... Definitely the best I have ever had. The flavors of meat and the side dish was heaven

Just round the corner from Grillmarkadurinn is this very nice Italian serving classics - we had a starter/main/wine for €60 each, which seemed reasonable considering the good quality.

I made a reservation here so that I could have a respectable pasta dinner the night before Reykjavik Marathon. I was able to easily secure a reservation via email with prompt confirmation. The restaurant staff were very good, and the place was decorated with many lovely antiques. The food and wine were very good, and the service was attentive but... More

Good experience: friendly service, good starter and dessert. Our water was re-filled constantly with fresh water. Bad experience: main course was Canelloni with camembert and spinach. Served just warm enough to eat, but surely not good warm or hot. It tasted like it had been kept warm for some hours, like you find in a highway restaurant.

Went there for lunch as we wanted to have proper, authentic Italian food for a change. We were a little apprehensive as soon as we entered the restaurant through the back door; there were only a few people at lunch time, which usually tells a lot about the place. We ordered pizza and pasta carbonara and when we got them... More

My friend and I happened upon Caruso our last night in Iceland. The restaurant was busy and we looked quite the mess after a long day of touring, but the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were seated immediately and offered refreshments and complimentary basket of bread. The atmosphere was homey. As we looked around, there were families, friends,... More

We went on a Wednesday night and it was busy, but not packed. The atmosphere is lovely it is almost as if you are eating in a house rather than the restaurant. The tables are close together, but it wasn't bothersome to us. It is pricey the meals, but we'll worth it. I had the rack of lamb, wine, and... More
