This place serves good Italian fare at a reasonable price. They have a wide menu of pasta dishes but also do a great job with pizzas. very comfortable, quaint setting and the staff is friendly and the service is fast. one of the better ethnic food choices in the downtown area

Our son had dinner here a year ago and highly recommended the restaurant. We were touring the city and decided to try lunch. It was excellent! Good menu choices and reasonable prices for Iceland. We shared a shrimp risotto and a seafood soup. Both were very good. The waiter was excellent. I have to apologize to him as I tried... More

Caruso is one of my favorite restaurants in Iceland. It has a great variety of food for the whole family. We went there nine of us for a birthday of my wifes mother. Everybody loved the food, even though everyone ordered different things. I had the offer - lobster soup - rack of lamb and italian sorbets for dessert. It... More

Really really variety of nice food and cosy friendly atmosphere, right on the doorstep of the Thingholt Center Hotel where we were staying. Delightful staff, not rushed and a lot of attention to detail. First rate, do yourself a favour.

My traveling companion and I were wandering around Reykjavik last week desperately looking for a place to have dinner. If one isn't into trying puffin, whale or many of the other rarely eaten (at least in the US) entrees from the North Atlantic, it's hard to find a menu AND a venue that look appealing. We walked into Caruso's and,... More

Our dinner was excellent, the atmosphere was very relaxing and the service was great. I had the three course dinner of lobster soup, rack of lamb and sorbet dessert and my wife had the shrimp pasta. Both were fantastic. It is pricey, but in line with the cost of food in Iceland. I recommend this restaurant.

We had pizza and tortellini and all four of us greatly enjoyed our meal. The waiter was very pleasant and everything was timely and well made.

Great food, friendly staff, varied menu of pizza and pasta all of which was delicious. Very quaint inside worth a trip just to have a look at the décor. To avoid having to wait for a table eat before 7, gets very busy at the weekend.

Food in Iceland is generally superb so it takes a lot to produce the best meal of the trip which this was. Beautifully cooked and so tasty. The staff were great. The only thing diners need to be aware of are the prices-but don't come to Iceland for a cheap holiday! This was the most expensive meal we had (although... More

Good quality and tasty food in a well decorated dining room (with a view of the pizza oven if you sit at the front). cknstantly bustling staff ensure you get what you need quickly and clear rapidly ready for the queue of walk-ins waiting.
