Tasty food, basic dining room

Pretty expensive, like all restaurants in Reykjavik centre. Continental breakfasts basic but ok. Dinner plentiful, tasty, well-cooked. Surroundings ok. Can get crowded.

I ordered fish and chips and my friend ordered the catch of the day, which was cat fish. Both dishes the fish was very fresh and not frozen unlike UK. Cooked perfectly and really tasty the portions are decent sizes. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Would definatelhy go back there again.

This is part of Hotel Fron where we stayed. Had a couple of meals here and were well pleased, service is witha smile and prompt and they had a good selection of different meals. Nice central location as well.

My husband and I popped in for a quick coffee on our first day....the male server pretty much ignored us and my husband went up to the bar to order a couple of coffees for us. They were very nice, I had a Swiss Mocha, which came with a generous swirl of whipped cream. The rather indifferent waiter didn't really... More

Iceland can be expensive, and the Scandinavian was a good option for reasonably-priced but good food.

This was our 4th night out in Reykjavik and having had an expensive night out the day before we decided to have a drink in the Bunk Bar and then just find anything that took our fancy rather than researching TA first. So we came across this place and my wife just fancied the look of the menu.....but if you... More

Recommend this place. Menu was good, my wife had the lamb and vegetables and said it was one of the best for a long time. We ate there three evenings and were not disappointed. Please try the "Fish of the Day" as it is excellent. I had oven-baked Cod one night and Wolf Fish on another. I can't remember ever... More

It was our first night in a very cold Reykjavík and this restaurant shone out of the darkness. Real, traditional, Icelandic food cooked to the highest quality. I suggest you go for the lobster feast as that is what I did. I even got a "very good choice sir" from the waiter. The only downer was that we got our... More

This restaurant is part of the Hotel Fron. The menu is extensive and the quality of the food is excellent. Try the Lobster Feast if you want to splash out a little but the CATCH OF THE DAY is very tempting. For desert you must try the Icelandic speciality SKYR which is thick yoghurt and berries delicious. The restaurant is very popular... More

Had a lovely meal here of Reindeer Pate, Duo of fish (cod and salmon) with roast potatoes, vegetables and salad, apple pie with cream, and a couple of beers. The fish was cooked to perfection, the pate was lovely and the service was perfect. A joy to eat here.
