This was our first outing to a restaurant in Iceland. The mushroom soup was lovely, but such a large plate that I couldn't finish my main course - which was a shame, as it was very good herring and rye bread. The Christmas herring (in cranberry juice) was particularly good. The service was excellent.

this was a very nice and relatively good value restaurant. the food we had was lovely. there seemed to be a lot of local people in the restaurant, all had versions of open sandwiches which looked absolutely amazing. i would definately have one of those next time!

we ate there our first day, as we stayed in the hotel above. The food was absolutely fine. It is not cheap, and is not the best value we had. But adequate fish and chips.

The Scandinavian is located on the main shopping street. We had a starter and main course, both of which were excellent. There is nothing wrong with the food, and is like all the other places we ate in during our trip. Initially the service was good, attentive with both meals served hot and in a good time. This is where... More

Despite there being only one other table in the place at noon it took 15 minutes for the server to come over. She was rude when I asked about what was in the soup of the day. Boyfriend had seafood soup, and an appetizer which came out 30 minutes apart. He gave up and went and asked the bartender for... More

We stumbled across this restaurant by sheer chance as the place we originally wanted to go to was shut. The waitress was extremely pleasant and had us seated immediately and with drinks within minutes. For starter my wife and I shared the lobster tails which were incredible, should have ordered a portion each. For mains we both had the Scandi... More

We arrived into Reykjavik late afternoon and checked into the Hotel Fron next door. Looking for an easy meal we tried Scandinavian and glad we did. We tried the fish and chips and soup of the day. Both delicious and okay priced for Iceland. Plenty of options and new weekly specials. A must!

Visited here last night, my wife had the Spaghetti with Lobster tails and I had the burger (large of course). Both meals were fantastic. Although we were full we had to try their apple pie with ice cream which looked delicious, and glad we did. Lots to chose from in Rekjavik but glad we started here.
