My wife and I entered this restaurant just before 8.00 pm and were shown to a table close to the bar. After a short while our waitress took our order. My wife ordered Icelandic salmon and asked for the salmon to be cooked "well done" - I ordered Fish and Chips, together with a local beer and a glass of... More

The food was very good and huge portions. Mushroom soup, possibly the best I have ever had. Try the warm apple cake with toffee sauce plus whipped cream!!!

Uninspiring food, in a dull environment, but the beer was cold. Service was fine, we ate the fish of the day - cod in a white wine sauce.

Also, my friend had special requests due to allergies and although the waiter assured these would be taken into account, they were not in the end - perhaps he simply didn't understand that someone could not eat potatoes...

We were looking for a restaurant that served traditional Scandinavian food in the heart of town and we found it with this restaurant. A bonus was that after we found this place online it was directly attached to our hotel! It's a busy place for dinner. Thankfully we arrived before the dinner rush as we didn't have reservations. We tried... More

We ate dinner here twice and had a wonderful meal on each visit. It was nice to see staff who were knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food they were serving. Being from New Zealand we were particularly interested in trying the Lamb. Our Waiter took the time to explain what Iceland sheep eat, how they are raised and what taste... More

Had dinner there on our first night at Reykjavik and loved it. The food was really tasty with great presentation, place was quiet and cozy, staff was absolutely brilliant and helpful and desserts are super yummy. Only can say good things about this place. Gourmet Icelandic kitchen at affordable prices at the heart of Reykjavik. We had a main course,... More
