We went to the Seafood Grill on our last night in Reykjavik and it was a real treat. Our hotel concierge recommended it and we were not disappointed. The staff was friendly and efficient and the restaurant is really beautiful -- cozy and small but sophisticated. We had a great meal and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is... More

Great food. Did the grill prix fixed menu. 1) you won't go hungry, 2) the food was excellent. The staff was friendly. Don't expect quick turn US style meal. Tools almost three hours but well timed recommend the drinks and wines.

Glad we made reservations as the restaurant was turning away customers and entry full of patrons waiting. My husband, 12 year old son, and I were shown right to our table and were promptly greeted by our friendly waitstaff with menus. I ordered the Lobster Feast, my husband the Taste of Iceland Feast and my son ordered the pasta with... More

From a seafood hater to a seafood lover in one bite. This is one of the finer dining experiences I've had in many a day. Superb cuisine at a reasonable price (for Iceland). Romantic cozy room. Made me fall in love with my wife all over again. I'll be back!

I was in Reykjavik for a week for a conference, and I think this was my favourite meal. It wasn't really outstanding, but it's a nice friendly place, the service and atmosphere was good, and the food was good quality and prepared with some originality and flair. Very pleased.

A popular busy place. No queuing as we had a reservation. Basic restaurant. Wonderful fresh seafood with a few trendy twists. Pretty good service considering how busy it was. Pricey but everywhere is in Iceland - just like being at home. Recommended.

Was our best formal sit down meal in Reykjavik. Well prepared fresh seafood with some creative ingredients. Service and atmosphere were good. It was pricey but you don't tip, so factoring that in I wasn't put off by the prices.

Reykjavik Culture night is a very very very busy night, therefor I reserved a table at Sjavargrillid well in advance. We were booked for 8pm. We honestly expected a bit of a wait, but our table was ready, great. Service was very good, our food was on the table very quickly and the food, well what can I say, the... More

We had this booked for us by the local people we were staying with and it was just as well as the restaurant was fully booked when we arrived. The staff were excellent from the first greeting to our departure- they were friendly and knowledgeable in spite of being run off their feet. To eliminate the need to make impossible... More

We wandered around a bit before finding this restaurant. Two local tour guides had mentioned it as a favorite. It was really bustling so we felt fortunate to get a table near the bar that was right by a window. Much of the restaurant was too dark for my comfort so sitting by the window was the best option. The... More
