Lovely atmosphere and excellent selection of dishes. We were only in Iceland for 4 nights and food was so good went back a second time. Had a started of Whale, Puffin and Shag one night and the Christmas soup the second time, both were excellent. Main courses were amazing and a mixture of tastes you would not normally think would... Unusual appetizers like puffin and minke whale were not to my liking, but the others were glad to have tasted them. Prices were of... More

Absolutely brilliant meal. Great service. Probably the best meal we had in Reykjavik. The course with the puffin, whale and shag was particularly memorable, and the lamb was perfection. Faultless.

Initially, we had other plans. But we found ourselves asking the hotel reception to recommend a restaurant. This was Thursday night business dinner. We were blown away by the perfectly wonderful seafood meal. Taste and arrangement was superb and the service was good and friendly. The recommended wine was not exactly to our taste, but it was fine. On Saturday... More

I had the catch of the day main course and that was fabulous. The fish was wonderfully cooked and very tasty, so were the vegetables. All in all, it was a terrific dish. And the same went for the dessert ! I ordered the chocolate cake which came with a mini mandarin white chocolate ice cream, berries and black chocolate... More

My friends and I made a reservation here for a Sunday night in Novmeber, and glad we did! The restaurant is cozy and small. My friend and I had the fish menu and the other person in our group had the Iceland Specialty menu (mink whale, shag, and puffin). Everything was delicious and well prepared. We also had the soup... Beginning with a delicious cocktail based on birch schnapps, a tantalizing amuse bouche, my Lobster - themed courses based on tender juicy langostines was such a superior culinary experience, I knew this was likely the first (and last) time I'll be able to savor the amazingly creative cuisine. The combination of ingredients and blended flavors are perfectly balanced and described... More

So we went here today for a honeymoon meal and we had possibly the best meal we have ever eaten. The waiting staff here were fantastic, making sure that our every need was met. The chef went out of his way to ensure that the meal for my wife had the gluten removed and changes the jus. We had the... More
