Fabulous food, great service and interesting menu

This is really a wonderful place! We had lunch there today while walking around the city. It was excellent. I had the 'juicy pasta ', it was delicious. The bread and butter on the table were excellent also. We are planning on going back for dinner. Highly recommend!

The Seafood Grill was recommended to us by the flight attendant on Icelandair. Really delicious food! We tried Minke whale - has the texture of a Portabello mushroom - and local beers. The servers were all very pleasant and the presentation of the food was special. We sat downstairs in a cool room that felt like you were in a... More

This town is not at a loss for excellent dining establishments. We had lunch here on our last day of our trip. It provided the perfect ending to a perfect trip. Good food.

We were recommended to take our first lunch in Reykjavik at this restaurant, and we were impressed with the food and all the nice and helpful personnel. The food was just marvellous, and we enjoyed dinner the same place the next day, no regrets and a restaurant to be recommended.

I had no prior expectation of the quality of food here, but if I had, it would have been exceeded. Simply put, this was one of the best meals of my life in terms of flavour, quality of ingredients, cooking skill and level of service. The fish soup was incredible; cod with pork's cheek was perfectly prepared; and the rhubarb... More

Great menu, good quality food and excellent service. Would recommend booking. We arrived on the Friday so booked for the Saturday night and as we arrived, people were being told there was no available till after 10 pm.

Fish soup was really good. For main course chose "Catch of the day" ( was white fish) also good but needs more vegetables on side. Icecream & sorbets for dessert were perfect. Friendly atmosphere.

As a non-seafood person, I went for lunch with no expectations. Thinking that my meal would be reduced to a salad and some garnish. Boy, was I wrong!!! I ordered the beef carpaccio as my appetizer and the pork belly as my main course. The carpaccio was AMAZING. Actually, beyond AMAZING. One of the best I've had. Great balance of... More

The menu focuses on seafood with some of the dishes overwhelmed by their components (i.e. three sauces for one piece of salmon). Wait staff could use more training - we were told that Ocean catfish was the same as swordfish - not likely. Not the most attentive wait staff I have encountered at this price level.

Recommended by our wonderful taxi driver and the hosts at the Hotel Fron, this is definitely a locals hangout and featured a small but eclectic menu, mainly seafood with some very interesting touches. Great drinks too.
