The seafood grill was one of our favorite meals in Iceland. And, we went to several places. Our first night was at Fredrik V which we booked based on TripAdvisor reviews and although the food was good, it wasn't great and was a little to "foofy" for us. Seafood Grill was nice enough to be classy yet was laid back... More

Very busy restaurant in central Reykjavik, had to wait for table despite very heavy rain outside. Constant stream of people looking for tables. Very efficient hostess, quite expensive but maybe par for the course in Iceland. Very good food

I'm a lover of great food and don't mind paying more for good service and a good meal. From the moment we walked in this Place after a recommendation from a local, i knew it was going to be good. The restaurant itself was really well decorated and looked really inviting. The waitress was smiling and attentive and seemed to... More

This was my first meal in Reykjavik on recommendation from one of my business colleagues who works in town at least one week a month for the past several years and it is his favorite place. It has a wonderful decor and atmosphere, service was very good, and the food was imaginative and perfectly done. Easily the best of the... More

We ordered salted cod. The staff were efficient and friendly. Service was quick, and we got a taster, bread and butter while waiting. Two main dishes were NOK400, very reasonable for an excellent dish. The fish was prepared perfectly, as were the vegetables and beef chech.

Although we were warned that dining out is expensive in Reykjavik, we weren't quite prepared for how expensive it can be. I had a lamb dish that was spectacular. While my wife had a fantastic pasta dish with salmon and a glass of wine. The total for lunch was over $100. In part this is due to the exchange rate... More

This is a good find in Iceland. The food is good and they have daily specials which are reasonably priced for the country. Dishes are well thought out and presented beautifully. Atmosphere here is very nice as well. A good choice!

It was worst place which we've visited for 10 days. . Portion of langoustine was very small and consisted only 3 tails and small piece of fish (in other places it was 8 and more). About this meal can said only, it was eatable but no more. Cod wasn't fresh and had typical unfresh smell. Service was similar to quality... More

Although I would choose the "Fish Market" over the "Seafood Grill" for my splurge dinner in Reykjavik, the "Seafood Grill" did offer a satisfying meal and were very accommodating of dietary issues in my group. The service is slow, so leave yourself a lot of time. The prix fixe menus are a good deal, and the mixed fish is excellent.... More
