We dined here in July 2014 and came back March 2015 just to see if the food was as tasty the second time. IT WAS ! Excellent service. Waiter was knowledgeable about the food with a history lesson to boot. I ordered the seafood pasta. Usually restaurants serve mostly pasta with little shavings of seafood. Not here. Huge amounts of... More

Although this restaurant was a bit beyond our intended budget, the food and dining experience were worth the extra cost. The restaurant is pretty and beautifully lit. We felt that we had privacy as the tables were well-spaced. Service was gracious. The Fish special is the way to go and offers the best value.

We ate here during the Food & Fun Festival. They had a guest chef and tasting menu during the event...not sure if the food will reoccur. My favorite was the grilled Icelandic lamb. It was delicious. The Skyr dessert was also good....friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere.

We had main courses, puddings and a couple of mocktails for the same price as several other meals we had during our 6 day stay in Reykjavik. It was absolutely delicious and by far and away the nicest meal we had while we were there, so I think represented excellent value for money. The service was excellent, the staff are... More

After all the hype i was expecting a lot more. The service was OK like the food. Its a shame when you read such good stuff and perhaps going my expectations were to high. but that's what happens when you don't look in details to what people have written. I do admit I'm a bit of a snob when it... More

We had high expectations which is always a problem. The venue is attractive, cozy and straddles the line between casual and fancy comfortably. But the food was better than mundane, but not by any means exceptional. And of course it's Iceland prices, so for what you would spend there, in New York, you would be getting or expecting better.

We met with friends at this small(ish) restaurant on a recent trip to Iceland. The waiter informed us that the mixologist there had recently won the grand prize at a Scandinavian drink mixing contest so we could hardly refuse to not try it. While it was a bit of a sweet drink, it set the tone for the rest of... More

we were really hoping for some fresh seafood being in Iceland but despite the good customer service, the nice ambience we were disappointed by the food. All dishes were too greasy and too much has been done to the food that you can't taste the actual fish. We also ordered the sushi but again the quality is not better than... More
