I came here for a quick snack and I got more than I expected - I ordered fish teryiaki with rice and it was fabulous. If I stayed in Reykjavik longer, I'd probably come here more often. I watched other meals that staff were serving to other guests, and I have to admit that I would taste everything. Good location... More

Our waiter, Daniel, served up delicious food with a charming personality when our group visited Grillhusid on Tryggvagata 20 in Rekjavek. The restaurant has fun 60's decor and music, and Daniel wears a smile even when he's not with the customers. We highly recommend this spot for tasty food, good value, and staff who enhanced the experience. Chuck Northrop cmnorthrop@msn.com

Great food, slow service, reasonable prices (for Iceland)! We ordered the hamburger and fries and the fish and chips, standard roadhouse fare...the food was excellent, but the service was very slow, maybe because the restaurant was so busy.

I went there with my wife and the service and the food was fantastic I had a pepper steak and my wife had lamb skewers and it was just great. The atmosphere was really nice and our server one of the best. Great place and fairly priced

We came here after a long day of traveling. Friendly staff, And the food came so fast, we were surprised. And sadly not in a positive way. We ordered fish n chips, side salad, onion rings And beer. The chips were soggy, And full of oil which tasted old deepfried oil. As did the onionrings And the fish. The beer... More

Surprisingly one of the best meals we had in Iceland, placelooks abit like an American diner, but the have a varied menu (including burgers) We had Nachos to share as a starter, with salsa, guacamole, and cheese dip. Just something to nibble on with a local beer. Good size portion of Nachos. For main, we both had lamb, i had... More

Well positioned, near old port and Art Gallery, parking outside. More like an American film themed diner. The staff were excellent, positive, fast, well spoken English. Had fish and chip meals, soup included. Fish (cod) very fresh, delivered that morning. Unusual to have coleslaw served with it? Good value meal for an expensive town. Would go there again. Thanks to... More

This was the first restaurant we ate at in Iceland, and we enjoyed our fish and chips. The kids menus are very reasonable and large portions. Friendly staff.

I had been to Grillhusid at least two times before and been quite pleased with food and service. This time was an exception. Service was quick and swift as usually. Orders taken promptly and food came about 10 minutes after we ordered, even if the place was quite full. I ordered grilled chicken breast in a bun. The plate looked... More

We both had lamb chops, they were cooked to order, my friend is always insistent on well done and always disappointed but not here, they were well done. Tiny little baked potatoes and coleslaw was a strange but not unpleasant combination. Desert was ok, chocolate cake a little tasteless but the ice cream was nice. The place is clean and... More
