Good restaurant...Variety of food...

Good restaurant. When here the first day we got into Iceland. The prices were reasonable and food was good. I had no complains about this place.

We ate here once, and I would say it's very similar to a U.S. Applebee's, but not as good. Our waitress was friendly, and the house red wine is great, so if you want to stop there for the wine, do so. Otherwise, I'd go for something more authentic & homey like the Sea Barron.

Went here with a large group and initially was told that since there was so many that they couldn't offer us the whole menu. This was upsetting but after some negotiation they finally agreed to serve us anything on the menu. The food was decent. The waitress took forever a couple times to refill our pitcher.

This restaurant was recommended to us and there was a problem I'm the kitchen. It took 2 hours to get fish and chips and fish terayaki. We went to this restaurant in the beginning of July. We went early at about 5:30. We didn't get served until 7:30. The staff did everything they could to help us, except give us... More

We had been eating fish just about every meal. It was nice to find this restaurant that had options that we also liked. I had the chicken kabobs with chopped bacon and sweet potato fries. The chicken was cooked just right and juicy with the grill taste. My wife had the chicken parmesan that she said was excellent. The coffee... More

Reykjavik can be quite pricing, so finding this nice restaurant before our "Northern Lights" experience, was spot on. The staff is very young and friendly, service is a bit slow, but unless you are on a rush it's not a big deal; portions are really generous and the steaks are well cooked - they definitely filled us up before the... Something got messed up with our order and it didnt go through. We asked about it after about an hour since we ordered. The waitress was super nice and understanding and simply told us that the order hadnt gone through. She put in an express order and we got our delicous food 5 minutes later free of charge and also... I am pesco vegetarian, but most restraurants I visited in reykjavik do not provide many vegetarian options. After many pizzas, I have to go with fish. This one is just around the corner of the city centre, good service, live music, and well-cooked fish dish. Yes, a bit slow, but for such a reasonable price and food, worth a bit... More

I have eaten at Grillhúsið often and always gotten exactly what I wanted and great service, I have 3 kids and they always want to eat different things so the diversity of the menu is great, I can have my stake and the kids their pizza or burger or even pasta and the wife her chicken.
