After arriving in Iceland and having yet to adjust to the cooler temperatures, this was the perfect solution. There are a variety of noodle dishes spanning a number of cuisines. We tried 2 of the spicier dishes on the menu---one was a Thai coconut curry, and the other a Japanese-style dish with a heavy hand on the chili peppers. For... More

It's a cheap and nice place. The best soup in town, love everything about it. Nice to drop in and have a cheap lunch :)

It seems that they are to few at work. The tables was dirty, but the employees was busy handeling customers. The noodles tasted good but I would not eat it there -not this day anyway

It's hard to find a bargain in Reykjavik; everything is expensive. For budget travelers even noodles are high cost; while not a lot compared to other restaurants here, they are twice the price of any similar place in the U.S. But... this restaurant has great tasting, made to order, filling bowls of noodles and soups, so if you're going to... My husband and I were looking forward to a warm bowl of noodles on a chilly day in Reykjavik. Our meals were just OK - there was another noodle shop up the street that seemed busier, but we went to Nudluskalin based on the good reviews. Next time I might try the other one. However, they did provide free lemon... More

We had got to the "we really must eat" stage and by chance passed this small and unpretentious noodle bar, not far down the road from Hallgrímskirkja Cathedral. The menu in the window offered a range of what they termed soups, but actually were far more than that, varying from vegetarian to options including meat. In fact, their card also... More

Eating in Iceland is expensive. This is why Nudluskalin is a great option if you are on a budget. The decor is nothing special but the soup I ordered (noodles with coconut soup, peanuts and turkey meatballs) was delicious and inexpensive...and great for a cold or rainy day!

I ate here almost every night whether it was a snack or dinner. I like eating on the go and did not want to spend too much time or money on food since my time was limited in Iceland. I had the soup with coconut and noodles with chicken. It was super tasty, fast, and cheap! Quick delicious bite!

The choice of places to grab something quick in Reykjavik, especially along Skolarvordustigur and Laugavegur, is huge. I'm glad I chose Nudluskalin. The coconut soup I had was prepared quickly, absolutely delicious, and made with 100% fresh ingredients. Also, sitting there, enjoying the food, and just watching the people outside, was a nice and relaxing moment on a busy day.
