This was a recommendation from a local we got talking to, and a very good one. The interior is cleverly designed using low wooden partitions and interesting paraphernalia on the walls to create intimate spaces illuminated by soft pools of light. The food style is fine cuisine - mostly fish but drawing on international influences to promote Icelandic ingredients to... More

After much research and looking for the closest places to our hotel we decided on this restaurant and I'm glad we did. The bread and butter were even great! We had the cod with mushrooms, fish of the day, fish and chips and the monkfish. They were all great and one was not better than the other. The food is... More

Dinner was excellent and the white chocolate mouse was a real treat dramatically presented. Great atmosphere and good service.

I went two times to this restaurant, and in both times the host gave some lame excuse not to let me in. Probably because I was not wearing social clothes I guess, but if that was the rule he could just have told me that. After those two failed attempts I went to the Fish Market, where I was very... This was our third tasting menu in Reykjavik, so our standards had been set high. In terms of the food, it certainly met them, but the service wasn't quite as good. We were waiting over half an hour between two of our courses, which is a long time when you're hungry! When we asked what was going on, the waitress... More

This restaurant was right around the corner from our Hotel....when you walk in there is a board full of post-it notes....when you leave post one with your comments! My meal was the Fishermans catch of the day..3 types of fish served over potato puree with veggies....it was delish. The check is presented to you a a small coin purse..nice touch!... More

This place has great decor, service and food. We ordered the 'Around Iceland' menu, with fried plaice, lightly salted cod, apple and fennel, lamb with lamb sausage and lamb roll and white chocolate foam and buttermilk sorbet to finish. This was about £40 pp. Everything was presented beautifully, and tasted delicious. The bread with the elderflower/basil butter were also really... More

We stumbled upon this place whilst trying in vain to find a nearby restaurant, which we had intended to patronise that evening. Our patience for searching having been exhausted, we opted to eat at Fish Company instead, and were mightily glad that we did. All the food was delicious, and served up by friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff. The soups,... More

This was the best food we had during what was a more indulgent than intended trip. If you're going to do only one posh night out in Reykjavik, go here - it's fantastic (that being said, we didn't go to Pearl, and there are other good options in a city blessed with great food). The staff are friendly and informative... More

On a trip to Iceland which was generally stunning, this restaurant topped it off! Like having food prepared by Masterchef champions, the starters were maybe the best we've ever had anywhere, fish so succulent and bursting in an array of flavours. We had the Icelandic fish dishes for main courses which were just astonishing. Can't recommend this enough, the atmosphere,... More
