I don't like "Indian" food, and when I heard "Nepalese & Indian" I was kind of worryed, but the Nepalese restaurant "Kitchen Eldhús" in Reykjavik is just great. The taste of both lamb and chicken was great, and good value for the money to. Friendly and cozy atmosphare. Jens Pétur Jensen. Reykjavik.

It doesn't look much from the outside but the food is great. I love Indian/Nepalese food and this didn't disappoint. My paneer masala was superb although I wish I had gone for medium as the hot was very hot. My daughter declared her chicken kora the best ever!! My son had lamb chops and said they were very tasty. The eggplant appetizer stuffed with cheese was excellent. We tried the lamb and a vegetable curry dish. There wasn't much meat, but what was there was spiced wonderfully. Both dishes were very flavorful. The staff was attentive and friendly. Would definitely eat here again.

We visited this restaurant on the reviews from Trip Advisor. Starters: Great! Main: we tried the prawn sizzling dish and was very disappointed, when we asked about it he said that it was marinated in 20 different spices....... Not challenging him we knew that he had merely thrown on Cajun powder and looking into the dish further the prawns were... More

Ate there twice on a recent trip to Reykjavik. Owner chef came to table both times, and second time chatted it up for it was near closing. Allowed us to come in late one evening for a meal since pretty much everything else was closed. Everything was completely fabulous from the Chicken Tandoori and Nepalese Marsala, to garlic noon, and... More

This Indian/Nepalese restaurant serves wonderful food. We went there for our 34th wedding anniversary and the food was some of the best I have ever had. The manager explained that is was home cooking and I could really tell that was true. Great place! Plus excellent value. I brought home some leftovers and we had them for dinner for 2... More

Just had a really lovely meal, medium spiced curry, rice was perfect. Staff were friendly and attentive. Price was reasonable - would definitely recommend - worth a visit.

The food is not only fantastic but a good value. For 75 USD, we had 2 appetizers, 2 very large entrees, and 2 drinks. So much food. Everything tasted great. Highly recommend.

We ate here on our last night. It was absolutely gorgeous food, the guys were extremely friendly, really down to earth and accommodating. Best Indian/Nepalese food I've had. Really different interesting flavours.
