The most amazing food you will ever have

I go every week with my job to eat at the Nepalese Kitchen and we look forward to it every week. It has become a tradition that has been going on for about 4 years now. The blend of spices is so unique and satisfying. If you want a pleasant surprise, give it a try. You will be amazed!

As vegetarians, my girlfriend and I always look out for Indian restaurants when travelling, as we are almost always guaranteed a great array of options and Kitchen Eldhus did not disappoint. The service here was great and came with a smile. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were large, without being too much. Try the Paneer, you won't... More

We were struggling to find somewhere to eat and walked past this place initially but spotted it on the way back to the hotel. It's only a small place with a handful of tables. However this was the best indian food we had hadun a long time. It was very tasty reasonably priced and good portion size. I couldn't really... More

Right on the main street, this looked like a small restaurant at first, but there were more tables upstairs. I have to say, doing Reykjavik on a budget, this was the most expensive meal we had, but the food was very tasty and beautifully presented.

As my wife is on a gluten free diet we always research in advance where are the best places to eat. From the trip advisor reviews this came highly recommended - and now we can see why!! We arrived on 16th Feb for 4 nights staying at the Grand hotel, and our first stop was to check out the Nepalese... More

Dinner on our 2nd day in Reykjavik was at a Nepali restaurant - Kitchen Eldhus. We were very surprised to find a Nepali restaurant in Iceland. The food seemed to resemble Indian food to a great extent. It was very good food and the prices were very reasonable by Icelandic standards.

We recently visited Kitchen Eldhus for an evening meal. We decided one night we fancied indian and after a quick google it seemed reasonable priced. We had a popadoms, starter to share two main courses, naan bread and chapatis and two large beers between us. We went for the biryiani which was delicous. We also had a napalese masala. The... More

If you're a Coeliac or on a Gluten free diet and are looking for a safe place to eat in Reykjavik then I recommend this restaurant. There's plenty on the menu to choose from & the food was amazing. The Korma I ordered was a decent size portion and was great value for money. Check out the website for more... More

I was recommended this restaurant by a British couple who live locally, and feeling impulsive, I tried it. I am not an enthusiast for the standard European Indian restaurants, as I find them generally undistinguished, but I love Nepali food, so I thought I would try. They warned me it looked uninspiring from the outside, which was true - without... More
