The dinner that my husband, 20 year son and I enjoyed at Dill was one of the best meals of my life. The food was interesting and absolutely delicious. You are sure to taste amazing food that you will likely not encounter anywhere else. In our case, that included dirt smoked lamb, cumin cheese, thinly sliced lamb bacon, and red... More

The concept of the menu was not fully explained to us. We were brought a number of 'Snacks' which was like chomping on cardboard. We were given half a glass of champagne that we didn't ask for - and charged for!we opted for the three course menu-first course consisted of cabbage and a bit of sauce, second course was belly... I absolutely loved my meal at Dill. Everything was perfect. I went there a few days ago with a colleague, and we opted for the 7 course meal. Each dish was so perfectly crafted, it was a pleasure to eat. She and I even have some dietary restrictions, but the chef and staff were happy to work with us. We... More

Despite coming highly recommended, Dill provided a highly disappointing if slightly amusing experience. The restaurant has recently changed location - in all the books and their website it is still located at the Nordic House - beware, this is no longer the case, they are now on Hverfisgata. A lovely new location, if only they'd been willing to share this... More

Beautiful small restaurant with a nice view over the Vatnsmýri. Great for a romantic dinner or small groups. The service was very nice and personal, the new Nordic food made largely from local ingredients, some of which were quite unusual, was delicious, unexpected and beautifully presented. This is not the place for a cheap quick meal but a place to... More

The title says it all. More an experience than a meal. We were entertained for 3+ hours by the seven course menu which isn't much more expensive than the 3 and 5 course options. Opted out of the wine tasting menu to avoid doubling the cost, and had a couple of glasses each of a red recommended by the outstanding... More

Nice location in the Nordic House. A bit outside city centre. Food and and excellent wine menu to match each dish. We really had a fantastic first evening to set us off for a long weekend in Iceland.

Food was beyond compare, service was 5 STAR. Location had a nice view of the city. Make reservations, we were able to walk in but you might not want to take that chance....splurge on all the courses!!!! The menu changes weekly and they are not open every night. We had great food and a memorable time.

Pros: fresh, delicious taste combinations I've never considered. Interesting and appetising presentation. Started with glass of champagne, edible table decoration and tiny tastes of exquisite food inventively presented. Wines chosen to compliment the food, topped up during the course. Can choose 3,5 or 7 courses with or without wine. There is no a la carte so it is rather like... More
