Interesting place, decent food

We were unsure whether to try this place based in the mixed reviews but we decided to give it a go as it was near our hotel and we were fancying chilli. It was actually very nice. The chilli was very tasty, better than I've had in a lot of places. It came with rice, nachos, salad, cheese and sour... read more

Me and my fiancee were in Iceland for 4 days, and luckily we found this great restaurant the first evening there. Think we had 3 dinners there due to the great food. I really do recommend the salmon dish, the mink whale, the mexican chicken soup, whatever burger you'll have and the beef. The mink whale and the beef were... More

This is my favourite restaurant. It is well placed in the old town square, not that it appears particularly old.It has friendly staff and swift service, nice sturdy wooden tables and comfortable seats. It serves Mexican and Icelandic dishes aswell as dishes such as fish & chips and burgers etc...If they are very busy there is an upstairs.I loved the chilli con carne, during my... I had the Minke Whale. My wife had the Lamb. Older daughter had a burrito. Younger daughter had chicken nuggets and fries. We were all happy with our meals.

We only went in to avoid the blizzard and it looked warm and inviting, we were glad we did. In fact the fish was the best we had in Iceland, very fresh and perfectly cooked. The accompanying salad and spuds were dull, could have been done better with minimal effort and the waiter's English was "interesting", but he was very... More

This place was ok - the food was fairly good but I think everything on the Mexican menu would have come out looking and tasting the same; I opted for the enchiladas and they weren't like I'd had elsewhere...but nice enough. Atmosphere was non existent; no music and very slow service. A shame really and could be ten times better.

Ate here on the last night of our trip to Reykjavik - wish we had followed our instincts and left before ordering. This is a Mexican restaurant, in Iceland, owned by an Asian family - seemed like an odd combination, but you never know. It was quiet - there were only two other couples in the restaurant as we arrived.... More

A lovely Mexican restaurant in the Old Harbour area. We visited on a Sunday evening so it was pretty quiet but the service was prompt and the food delicious. I can recommend the chicken quesadillas! Prices much the same as other restaurants in the area - £8 for starters and £12-18 for mains. Certainly a nice place to try.

I went there with the misses recently and it was not a great experience. Supermarket quality and a seemingly very little passion and heart in the cooking. Believe me, you can find better food practically everywhere. The place is nice, as in the location and decor, but it could be so much better.

My husband and I both enjoyed a fab Mexican meal. We are both vegetarian and found this restaurant perfect. I wanted a sex in the beach frozen, this was not on the menu but the waitress stated she could do it no problem. Food amazong, service amazing. Worth a visit
