Great and affordable meal in Reykjavik

We went here every day during our trip for a quick lunch. Took one soup to share (there's a new selection of soups every day) + two cups of tea, and that was more than enough to get charged for further urban exploration and leave place for things to try at other places. Prices are reasonable and... read more

One of the highlights of My March cold trip,. Chicken soup definitely warmed my cockles up!! Lovely intimate cafe. Excellent service and reasonably priced.

We heard about the soup in bread and that this was the best in town. We visited, the staff weren't overly friendly. The soup was pretty good but not amazing. The bread, however was delicious. Reasonable price and we were pretty satisfied

After a cold, windy and bitter visit to Reykjavik we decided to stop here. Best idea! Hot soup in a loaf of bread was definitely what the doctor ordered. From walking in and greeted by friendly staff to be seated, to get glasses of water on the table within 2 minutes to then discovering the 2 flavours of soup. Hungarian... More

The soup was really good. We had a beef stew that was to die for. The bread was also amazing. But generally just loved the idea of a bar that only served soup. I also loved the sign "No WiFi, talk to each other and smile."

My partner is a big lover of bread. So he was very excited when he found out that he could get one of these on our trip to Iceland. He wasn't disappointed and staff were very friendly.

Went in here on our first day and while it was snowing. Cosy and warm, and even better when the soup came. I had the Hungarian meat soup and the wife had the Mushroom, we both said we loved it. Yes it's a bit of a tourist destination but that's what we were in Iceland for, to do tourist things!... More

A very cosy welcome and a very huge bun with Mexican chilli soup. £11.50 for soup and a beer which is a good price for Iceland

Loved the overall atmosphere here. It's very laid back, with two soup options (one veg, one meat) to choose from. A fanstatic respite from the freezing rain storm we got caught in while shopping. Excellent soup, and the hot chocolate was awesome as well.
