The menu we chose looked great on paper. Fish soup, lobster, fish dish and a skyrr desert. All things we had tried throughout our trip and it seemed like a nice choose for our last night in Iceland. The soup was okay, but not by any means great, the mussels in there weren't good. The lobster was disappointing, the salad... More

This is a great place to begin an Icelandic tour. Their lobster bisque with mussels + cod with a saffron cream was an excellent starter. For a first time whale eater, the Smoked Whale Carpaccio is a good place to begin, surprisingly tasty and delicate. The grilled Salmon was topped with mussels and langoustine with a light white wine sauce.... More

Quite a small menu but we all found something we liked - the only quality restaurant we saw serving a chicken dish! Food was well presented and tasty. Fairly open décor and not a lot of people in when we were there so lacked a bit of atmosphere. We were the last party in when we left at 9.30pm. Service... More

We had a great meal here, the food is well prepared with great care and dedication. The menu is not too extensive, especially if you do not want to eat whale. The trout we had was excellent, it was tender and deliciously seasoned. The service was quick and friendly. We would certainly recommend this place.

My guide book was a couple of years out of date but described this place as the best place in Reykjavik. While I don't think it has that claim to fame now it was a still pretty good and you won't be disappointed.

As a final meal for what has been a fantastic mini break in Iceland we stumbled upon this gastro restaurant. The set 4-course lobster/lamb meal appealed to me, while my girlfriend tried the whale followed by profiterole dessert. My meal started with a sublime seafood soup, followed by lobster tails with salmon while the lamb was served on a bed... More

We both chose the 4 course dinner at 6,900 kroner (£36-37) which was generally pretty good. A tasty fish soup was followed by very good lobster tails and an excellently cooked rack of lamb (although the very hot mustard herb crust may not be to everybody's taste). The dessert was only ice cream which was a bit disappointing after the... More

Having just got back from a fabulous whale watching trip, where we were lucky enough to see 4 hump back whales, the last thing I wanted to see on a menu was Whale Carpaccio! Everything else on offer was sumptuous though. I started with the lobster, which looked beautiful, but was unfortunately, not only not fully cooked, but it was... More
