My husband and I enjoyed our anniversary dinner on New Year's eve at this restaurant. The dinner was delicious, the wait staff was very attentive and patient as I am sure we stayed well past our time because we met a wonderful couple at the table next to us and we talked forever! More

Had an amazing meal at silfur, dined on the "early spring" set menu. Smoked lamb was outstanding, as was the goose with beetroot, the deconstructed carrot cake dessert was sublime, good selection of wines, worth every penny. More

We ate here because it was the resaurant of our hotel - Hotel Borg. The food and service was good but we had better during our stay. For a truly special meal go the The Seafood Cellar. More

Reykjavik is not an inexpensive city. So it was very enjoyable to have a first class meal at reasonable prices. The ambiance and operation of the restaurant are a little quirky. But that adds to the charm if you like a "local" experience. More

We saw the lunch menu while walking down the street, and the prices were very good, so we decided to give it a try. As you can see from the pictures, the food was beautifully and creatively presented, and it was delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked, the roasted potatoes were crispy, and the sauces were flavorful. Several dishes had... More

just returned from a trip to iceland. Our highlight was the meal nat the Silfur restaurant. It is located in the Hotel Borg, one of Reykjavik's fantastic hotels. Upon entering the place was packed! With no place to sit for a meal we were greeted by Keli who turns out to be the manager/ bartender/ all around great guy. Upon... More

Had pre booked via e-mail as Christmas day, but given the date, food and service from a limited menu was very good. Staff chatty and attentive. A good evening. More

I was hoping to be writing a good review after a great meal at Silfur tonight, sadly that was not the case - the top rung restaurant delivering a very middle of the road result. The first problems started when I arrived - there was no-one at the front desk for over 5 minutes, so I needed to go into... More
