The restaurant was walking distance from the house we rented so it made sense to give it a try. Like anywhere in Iceland, the food was expensive but it was really a great meal. Try the lobster three ways. You won't be disappointed.

Okay .. first of all we had a miserable day ... Driving in horrible weather from Reykjavik , all cooped up in the car. Arriving at 7pm In hofn , I needed a nice treat .. And this was it. I found out that Hofn is lobster capital of the North and Osinn was highly recommended .. We however did... More

The lobster trio and the baby rack of lamb were outstanding. The lobster trio consisted of about 6 small lobster tails, two lobster spring rolls and delicious lobster bisque. The root vegetables with the lamb were delicious. And oddly, the red pepper/mushroom/onion pizza I had was one of the best I have had anywhere.

We ate at Osinn because it specializes in lobster. My wife had the Asian style lobster with grilled lobster and lobster spring rolls. I had the lobster three way--grilled lobster, a spring roll and lobster soup. The grilled lobster was overcooked and dry. The soup was rich but didn't have any chunks of lobster. The meal was pretty expensive but... More

We had a great dinner the night we were in Hofn. The restaurant was quite charming, the service was very good and the food was outstanding. Of course, our dinner consisted of lobster and more lobster. It was very tasty and plentiful. Our waiter, Tomas was amazing! Highly recommend eating there!

Sinfully overpriced lobster dinners. Osinn has the gall to charge nearly twice what other Iceland restaurants/cafes charge for comparable-quality lobster dishes. Lobster tails were small and overcooked. Avoid it unless you don't mind being ripped off.

My wife and I had dinner at this restaurant. I ordered the grilled lobster, lobster soup and a lobster spring roll. The food was unremarkable. If this meal was served in America (at the price we paid), the restaurant would be out of business in a day. The lobster soup was thin, boiling hot, and with no lobster in it... More

The restaurant of the hotel has nice lobster menues. Don't miss the lobster pizza! The service was friendly but really slow. We had to ask to order after 15 min and the dirty dishes on empty tables were standing their for ages. Could be different on any other day of the year. From my point of view the place overall... I had a very tasty "Hofn meets Asia" - lobster dinner with red wine, and also my boyfriend´s pizza tasted good. :) There were lots of locals too, which is always a good sign for a restaurant.
