We loved this place: we waited a little bit to be seated but it was totally worth! We ordered just one plate of langoustine because we though we weren't so hungry but then ordered another one! It was one of the best dishes we had in Iceland: tha fish was delicious and the dressing were amazing too!

They call them "lobster," but we'd call them "langoustine," and they came simply prepared, sauteed in butter and laid out on a platter in the middle of the table. I'm positive they were swimming in the sea just outside the restaurant a couple hours earlier. Wonderful! Recommended by our guide, and not at all disappointed.

This place is special ! Relaxed and friendly vibe and great fresh seafood. You have to have the langoustine and we preferred the tails to the whole thing. It's so popular, you may have to queue, but it's worth it. If you stay in or near Hofn, get out of your hotel and eat here !

That's how it felt! After not looking for a treasure for the entire day, we nonetheless found one :) We had spent a long day out trekking and exploring beautiful places (including Stokksnes, a few minutes away from Höfn), we found this restaurant by chance after nightfall. As soon as we entered, we knew we had made the right choice.... More

When planning our trip in Iceland this was one place we wanted to be sure to have a meal- and we were not disappointed. This is casual dining (place where you lick your fingers), where the food is more important then the service. So people expecting fine dining should not come here. Having said that we found the service very... More

Good meal, but very expensive and the service is really low. Even if we were the only guests in the restaurant we were almost forgotten by the waiters. Very slow, almost rude approach by them ruined the whole image of classy place. Lobsters were absolutely fresh and therefore super tasty. Yet, also very pricey. Do not count on the scenic... More

My friend and I ate at Humarhornin and had a truly wonderful meal. What a funny little place! The decor was very old fashioned and casual, which was not a problem. However the price was very steep so I guess there may have been a mismatch there. Either way, we had fantastic service, good music and incredible food. We shared... More

This was a must visit restaurant on our May 2013 Iceland trip itinerary due to the rave reviews. We all love fresh seafood and we've had some very fresh fishes in other parts of Iceland before we got here. There were 8 of us and we all ordered some sort of lobster dishes. For about 60 Euros, I think I... More

We make it short: best lobster ever! Tasty, fresh and juicy, served with very good salad, two sauces and good bread. We had the lobster tails (not the whole lobster). Simple but perfect dish. Although a little pricey - but compared to the quality and 350g of lobster worth the money. Highly recommended if your around Höfn. From a mid-twenty... More
