Lobster dinner!

This is a fishing village known for the lobster industry. What a better place to have a fresh lobster dinner. Casual dining, friendly staff. We even noticed as we checked out a photo of Ben Stiller. We asked the staff and they mentioned that they had catered for Ben Stiller when he was there... read more

Our hotel recommended this place and we weren't disappointed, I tried the langoustine tails which were cooked very well and were quite moist and very tasty.

It's a lobster house here. Good service and nice langoustine dishes. Bit pricey but every restaurant in Iceland is expensive anyway. This restaurant was the busiest restaurant in the area. Langoustine dish was little bit over seasoned for my liking but I generally don't like salt anyway so most people would find it very well seasoned. Creme brûlée was quite... More

This was one of a few food options available to us at the time of our visit. The atmosphere was odd and not welcoming though luckily the waiter was. We found it extremely expensive, by Australian standards, so just had soup and pizza. The pizza was excellent and should have been for $30 for a small. Probably great for a... More

This was one of the highligts of our trip to Iceland. I went to Humarhofnin with a couple of friends and it was everything we could have hoped for. The food was absolutely fantastic and one could tell that the quality of the kitchen was high. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and comfortable. The service was equally amazing,... More

It was late in the afternoon when we took the exit for Hofn, and although we were not to hungry, we had to stop at Humarhofnin, a restaurant famous for their langoustines. We ordered a single plate to share, thinking that would be enough for a taste. But once we got a taste of them, we quickly ordered one more... More

I came with some friends to this place for dinner and we really loved it. All the seafood we ordered was very tasty. I especially enjoyed the grilled langostine and the bacalao. The skyr for dessert was also very good. Can't miss it if you are in hofn.

Hofn is known for langoustine, a type of small lobster, and this restaurant definitely lets you try langoustine in different ways (Humar is the Icelandic word for langoustine) - there was a langoustine soup, pizza, and bruschetta type appetizer, as well as just plain langoustine. Decor is warm and homey. Like everywhere in Iceland, prices are expensive but not more... More

This restaurant is an absolute must if you are in the Hofn area. Would rate the lobster tails as one of the best meals we have ever had and my husband is not usually a lobster fan but he was hooked from the first bite! Yes it is an indulgance but with such great food and superb service absolutely a... More

The restaurant was only open for two hours in the evening when we were there, and we are so glad we just made it in. One of our best meals in Iceland. The langoustine was wonderful and the service was great. Definitely recommend.
