The cafe is near the church and easily accessible. The cakes are generally sweet but goes well with a cup of cappuccino. Ambience is nice and cosy.

They offer a cheap bread, soup and salad bar. The soup is not amazing, but definitely a good option on a cold day. Plenty of choice in the salad bar. Nice relaxed place, very friendly staff. They have a lot of different cakes as well. We didn't try any, but they looked yummy.

Love it. This is a fine place to stop for coffee and a snack, great atmosphere, authentic Iceland food, friendly staff, what more can I say. Free WiFi, ask at bar for pass code.

I enjoyed the little tasty pastries and had a decent espresso (not as good as at home but I hardly find places as good elsewhere). Sitting outside for an early morning espresso with a view is also hard to beat.

They had an unlimited soup bar that we took advantage of, very cheap. The soup was quite good but for Iceland standards, average. I wouldn't highly recommend it but I would never tell someone to stay away from it. The employees were very courteous and maybe if we had more than their soup we could have been blown away.

Went in for lunch. Had soup and salad. They had clear vegetable soup which had WAYYYYYY TOO MUCH oregano in it. The service was good, saladbar was good and the atmosphere was perfect.

The downstairs has all the goodies to choose and then you go upstairs to eat. It is a nice little place in town and lots of sweets. Nice staff and old fashioned decor.

Have been here just for coffee. Really cozy inside, but staff unfriendly as mostly in Iceland. Did not have honey for tea and coffee looked like made without love.

Six of us stopped by about seven o'clock one evening for a light meal. The lady said we could have soup and bread or soup, salad bar and bread. That was perfect for us so we were ushered upstairs where we had the entire room to ourselves. There were two kinds of soup, both very not and tasty. The bread... More

My husband and I ate breakfast here both mornings during our stay in Akureyri. The latte was excellent and I was most excited to be offered homemade gluten-free bread when I asked for no toast with my eggs, cheese and ham. We were visiting on our honeymoon, and as a gift, the lovely owner packed us lunches with gluten-free bread... More
