Fantastic lobster

The restaurant is very cosy with nice atmosphere. I ordered the lobster as a starter and it was just delicious. I highly recommend this place.

Go for the catch of the day: These folks specialise in fish and they do outstanding fish dishes. The catch of the day included both spotted catfish and blue ling which are our favourite fish dishes. They came sizzling on the pan with some potatoes and vegetables, just perfectly done. Finally, the house wine and desert crème brûlée were perfect... More

They might not have everything on the menu available, but I think that's a sign that they're only serving the freshest catch. The cod was delicious, and the presentation is nice- it comes out in the frying pan it was cooked in.

Amazing place, good people and excellence cooking style with a pan. We visited them on our first night in Akureyri and without any further question we went back on the second night as well. Highly recommended to try their cod or rainbow trout!

I went there with friends, we were 10 people. We had reserved a table and orderd the lamb in advance. Yet we had to wait one and a half hour for the food. At the time there were only 2 other tables with guests. We had to ask the waiter time and time again what was taking so long. The... More

the food was really nice. we had different fishes very very tasty and all served (excellently presented!) in fry pans, fantastic dessert. close to the sea and not far from the town center. i would go back right now if (unfortunately!) I would not been leaving miles away like I am!

First thing is that if you don't like a quirky interior or expect high dining experience you shouldn't go to Noa,too many reviews are about the interior. The restaurant is usually quite full especially sat/Sunday's because the cruises come in on those days so make sure you make a reservation. The fish is so fresh and so perfectly cooked,it comes... The Californian we met on his way out explained: "Go for Catch of The Day! They call it catfish. It is definitely not what we call catfish in California. But the sauce is probably the best I have had, ever." He was right. The restaurant is a ten minute walk or one minute drive south of "central" Akureyri. The waiter... More

We thoroughly enjoyed this dinner. The chef is an artist also, and his paintings are all over the place (look nice!). We had fish dishes (trout and what they called 'catfish,' but it wasn't anything like catfish in the US). These are cooked in a pan with potatoes, onions, and some other veggies. Tasted fantastic. Restaurant is about 0.5 km... More

surely, you'd argue 130 ratings on trip advisor making it the best restaurant in town can't be wrong. well, think again. i don't have the habit of writing places down. on the contrary. but the service in noa was downright weird, not to mention clumsy. plates got thrown on the table rather than served, the glas my girlfriend had was...
