I tend to briefly read over previous reviews before I post mine and since I have visited Iceland, reading some reviews triggers one conclusion - "I don't make that much money". If you are to try authentic Icelandic cuisine in Iceland, try it once, try it twice. However, if that's all you have, you must make a lot of money,... More

I think this would be great for anyone. Good decor and lighting created a welcoming atmosphere. It is spacious and the tables are well spaced. Don't be put off by the term panfried, everything was delicious. Food was cooked and served in individual skillets brought to the table. Everything was excellent and the special kids dinner that came in their... More

In line with the best nordic cuisine trend, this cozy art restaurant offers the best menu of the area. Great fish and meat, fantastic lobster soup, excellent desserts. I went there with my family and found everything perfect, including the chef kindness and the price, very reeasonable. Thank you!

Just down the hill from our apartments. We had the taster menu. It was all very nice but we were rather full by the end! Not terribly expensive by local standard. Recommended.

I found the restaurant through trip advisor. The meal was excellent (pan-fried trout). I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Akureyri.

I did visit Noa restaurant during my stay at Akureyri, seeing the rave reviews on Tripadvisor. I did like the location of the restaurant - quite close to the lake, just a kilometer from the city center. The ambience is good and the furniture and layout of tables show good taste. My order was the catch of the day –... More

Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. We had the best of Iceland menu which we can highly recommend. This gave us the opportunity to taste a wide selection of excellent local produce. The chef was willing to include/exclude any preferences. A memorable experience.

We found this place through T.A. reviews and walked in for dinner. For the first time in our entire Iceland trip we were asked for reservations. When I said we didn't have any the wait staff conferred and said they found us a table. The place was very nice with and open floor plan but little noise to distract you.... More

We had the lobster and cod (I think?) soup to start, which was outstanding. For entrees, we had the catfish catch of the day and the rainbow trout. As expected, both also great. Dessert was the orange skyr creme brûlée which was Aldo really good. Service was outstanding? Local beers were also good. Would definitely recommend this to others.

I had a great experience at this restaurant earlier this June. It serves mostly fish and seafood and does so really well. I had salted cod, which was extremely good. I also tasted the dishes my friends had ordered and they were all great as well. The fact that the cook can get fish caught by local fishermen earlier in... More
