During our 10 day trip to Iceland we enjoyed quite a few excellent and memorable dining experiences. Noa was one of those. The interior resembles both a restaurant and a gallery. The owner and waiter is a painter of modern art which is hung throughout the establishment. Much of the dining furniture is modern and Danish. The menu was somewhat... More

For our last night in Iceland we plumped for Noa based on the reviews. First off it is a bit out way from the centre, but well worth the walk. Greeted by the friendly owner we found ourselves in a warm welcoming space that was half art gallery half restaurant (all the owners own work). We chose the chefs selection... More

You almost immediately ask yourself if you are in some kind of museum because of the beautiful painting and the special decoration all over the place. Once you start eating the food is ok but too expensive for what you paid for

Noahs Ark, In Akureyi, is a very short walk from the main accommodation area and worth every step. Bookings are taken; in September when we went it was very quiet but no shortage of good cheer and engaging humour from the host. like anywhere in Iceland expect to pay in excess of AUD35 for a main course; the choices being... We celebrated a birthday at Noa. Service, food and atmosphere was great. Also, it was very affordable. I can strongly recommend this restaurant.

Went for a nice dinner. We were greeted in a friendly manner as soon as we walked in. Were seated right away. We ordered their "selection of the north" which is 2 starters, a main and desert. The waiter was friendly and an excellent waiter. We had lamb and ling for our mains the ling was delicious but the lamb... More

This place was recommended by a client and it was wonderful! Imagine going all the way to Akureyri to drive outside the small town in the North of Iceland and have a waiter from Pennsylvania! The seafood is excellent. Service is good. You will enjoy it!

We went to Noa for dinner based on the Tripadvisor reviews. The lobster soup was very good, as was my wife's langoustine salad. My fish of the day was mediocre at best. Certainly not worth the long walk from town.

On our adventure through Iceland, my brother and I stopped by for a late dinner. The waiter was very affable and provided us excellent service. The cod filet and lamb roast were wonderfully prepared. During our meal the waiter brought us complimentary shots of a crowberry liquer, which he claimed was a fine match with lamb. Opinions being subjective, I... More

This restaurant is about a 20 minute walk from Akureyri centre - with hindsight it would probably have been a good idea to drive there! As the only diners in the whole place we did feel a bit exposed, but we were greeted warmly by the chef. who recommended the lunchtime special of catfish, at a very reasonable price. The... More
