We went to Noa for dinner based on the Tripadvisor reviews. The lobster soup was very good, as was my wife's langoustine salad. My fish of the day was mediocre at best. Certainly not worth the long walk from town.

On our adventure through Iceland, my brother and I stopped by for a late dinner. The waiter was very affable and provided us excellent service. The cod filet and lamb roast were wonderfully prepared. During our meal the waiter brought us complimentary shots of a crowberry liquer, which he claimed was a fine match with lamb. Opinions being subjective, I... More

This restaurant is about a 20 minute walk from Akureyri centre - with hindsight it would probably have been a good idea to drive there! As the only diners in the whole place we did feel a bit exposed, but we were greeted warmly by the chef. who recommended the lunchtime special of catfish, at a very reasonable price. The... More

Looking for a good place to satisfy our seafood cravings, we chose this restaurant after seeing the reviews on trip advisor. The food is executed splendidly, simple but beautifully cooked. We each ordered the cod fillet which came pan fried in a large skillet with seasoned potatoes and vegetables. The fish was delicate and light yet contained mountains of flavour.

While we waited at the door, no one looked at us or spoke to us for 10 minutes. Finally, we were grudgingly seated. The waitress was nice and the service was pretty fast after that. We had the ocean catfish and it was very good.

We ordered rainbow trout and black spotted catfish, the dishes were unreal. The best seafood we have ever tasted. The service was excellent! Such friendly and knowledgable waiters. Beautiful atmosphere.

We were very very pleased with our meal here. The ingredients are fresh, and the dishes are not overly fancy, and very well done. My husband had the cod and I had the salted cod -- both came sizzling in skillets with vegetables. It was simple but delicious. They know what they do well here. An added bonus is the... More

To summarize upfront: The food was good or even very good, but the service was a big problem. Details: We came around 9 pm without a reservation. We were told that they would have a table for us by 9:20 pm. Right after we entered the restaurant, a small family came, who didn't have a reservation either. We came back... More

Great ambience with interesting art on the walls (painted by the owner). Terrific food: loved the lobster soup and cod. We went with our children and they were happy to split a rib eye to share. Highly recommended.
