The view and the food was great, and the car is well stocked. I thought the price was very reasonable too compared to similar food Reykjavik or even in my hometown in Australia. Would fully recommend going here for lunch or dinner.

Went there for a business lunch while on a half-day trip to Akureyri. Really enjoyed both the food and the restaurant. The restaurant is on the top floor of a building downtown Akureyri. It has seating both inside and outside, offering good views of the fjord and the mountains. The weather was nice so we opted for sitting outside. The... More

Came here after a long drive from the Snaeffels peninsula, and had some really creative and delicious food considering that the town is the middle of nowhere. We had smoked puffin, risotto, and one of the best burgers i have ever had, plus local beer on tap. If you stop in Akureyri, have a meal here - plus it has... More

My husband and I really enjoyed the food, service, and view here. I had the whale and my husband had Arctic char. It was a romantic setting with nice views of downtown and the bay. A little pricey, but pretty expected in Iceland. I highly recommend!

six of us were there last month on a trip to Iceland. Had only heard about the restaurant via social media, but there were only a few places downtown open. So we gave it a shot. What can I say the view is a killer and they had a number of interesting items on the menu. A great meal including... More

Best view in town, very professional staff, nice design of the restaurant, but main course had to many different things on the plate that did not mixed together to well. Also shrimps were far to overdone. There were 4 dessert to choose from, but one was French soufflé, one was Italian tiramisu, nothing special. Good point after complaining about main... More

If you are only passing through doing the ring road, and hence only have time for one meal in town, this is it. This was the best meal and the best value we've had so far on the ring road. My wife and I got the Salmon and the Lamb. Both were fantastic with very original preparations and local flavors.... More

Went to this restaurant our second night in Akureyri, having been to Rub 23 the previous evening. We preferred this restaurant. A previous reviewer indicated that this restaurant is on the 4th floor. It is on the 5th floor. We were seated at a corner table and had spectacular views of the harbor, across the fjord, and of the church.... More
