Best meal in Iceland!

If you are only passing through doing the ring road, and hence only have time for one meal in town, this is it. This was the best meal and the best value we've had so far on the ring road. My wife and I got the Salmon and the Lamb. Both were fantastic with very original preparations and local... read more

Went to this restaurant our second night in Akureyri, having been to Rub 23 the previous evening. We preferred this restaurant. A previous reviewer indicated that this restaurant is on the 4th floor. It is on the 5th floor. We were seated at a corner table and had spectacular views of the harbor, across the fjord, and of the church.... More

Saturday night, new city for us. Kind of cool cocktail menu. I ordered a blood orange mojito that was made with mint and basil. They froze it and served it high in the glass with a bent spoon. Will attach a picture. We each ordered a starter, husbands with pastrami and mine with Parma ham. Nothing much to starter but... More

Eaten there 4 times in the last 4 years. Guess I kept going there for the view and great out door seating. The kids menu was excellent 2 years ago, I didn´t check it this time, one of a few places where you can get something healthy for your kid in stead of the usual nuggets or such crap. I´ve... More

The view of the church from the windows is especially lovely. The food was good, ample and well prepared. The price range was about the same as Rub 23 and more than Backpackers. The meals are ample and very well presented.

The food was very good and tasty, service was fast and courteous. The restaurant is on the 4th floor overlooking the water, our table had a spectacular view. I would highly recommend this place. One note - as mentioned from other posts, if you want a hamburger go somewhere else - this restaurant serves better food than that.

Extremely keen to accommodate our dietary needs even for our 10 year old. Delicious food, beautiful view, modern and warm ambience. Delicious mojitos too!

A very lovely restaurant, very decent food and a good choice for kids as well (kids menu does not only consists of hamburger and chips). Probably the best restaurant we saw in Iceland, thank you very much!

The food was good but when factored against the cost of the meal it comes out as just OK. We ate at the Hamburger Factory the night before and it was better and less expensive. I had the burger that had reindeer and beef mixed together but you really couldn't tell as the cheese and other items on the burger... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of the apartment we rented. The food and service were very good. I think in the summer this place would be great to sit on the patio as it has a fantastic view.
