Great lunch

Had a great lunch here on the way through Akureyri. Had the wolfish and langoustine, was excellent, and great wine too.

It's a shame that we find this restaurant at our third day in Akureyri. All the meals(lunch and dinner) we eat there after we find it. It's really good, every meal we eat there are tasty, whale, puffin, platis, lamb, sallad. Also a great view to the sea and seaport. Kind staffs. I ate at Strikid with my parents and we all loved the food. Two of us ordered the 4 course menu which was superb, and the perfect amount of food. We also tried the Minke whale and the smoked trout which were both delicious. Definitely the best restaurant in Akureyri!

Too cold to go onto the outdoor roof patio, and we happened to hit the dining room on a busy graduation evening, but service was excellent, friendly (where does Iceland get all these 20-something's from?) and the menu was contemporary with international AND Icelandic touches - puffin on the menu, for example. Can't say enough about the food - we... More

Had a quick dinner before catching flight back to Reykjavik. The food was tasty, the beer selection better than many other restaurants I have been in Iceland. Best of all the views and the interior decor inviting.

At street level, this didn't seem like anything special, but we decided to check it out anyway. Very stylish interior, sweeping views and great food -- especially seafood. Quite pricey, but both the quality and service were good.

We ate here on our 2nd night in Akureyri, 5 of us all having different meals, I myself tried the 4 course set menu (because I couldn't make my mind up) it was an excellent choice, all enjoyed their food and wine.

We ate at Strikid with a party of 5 for dinner. This restaurant is on the top floor of its building in the middle of town with a frat view of the fjord (from both inside and outside on the deck). We went early, without a reservation, but they had no problem seating us (it got busy as the night... More

We mainly went here because it was the only place we found still serving dinner at 10pm in the second largest town in Iceland. It is very geared toward tourist groups. The 16 piece sushi was surprisely good as was the salad (something never happens in veggie less Iceland) but the pasta with langostines was dissapointing with overcooked boxed penne... More
