We were searching for a lunch place where I could get some meat (lamb) soup and my wife a salad bar. We read reviews of this place which is nicely located in the middle of a main street and stopped in. It was quite busy with the lunch rush and had a good priced soup & salad bar. My wife... More

This is a good place to start the day with coffee and a roll. But not too early as they do not open until 8 a.m. The outdoor seating is usually set up a little later but for a leisurely cup to start the day this is the place

The selections were many and I managed to taste quite a few..even my ones for the road didn't make it to the hotel. I discovered something that I can only describe as an Icelandic donut. It was like a donut from the outside, but lighter in texture (probably not in calories!). The bakery also makes take-away sandwiches, which I found... More

We stopped in before a day tour, the kleina and caramel cakes were incredible, as was the coffee... a definite stop before a big day of travel and sightseeing!

We were recommended this bakery by the owner's son and were delighted! We ended up buying multiple pastries, two loaves of bread and many chocolate chip biscuits. The "biscuits" were amazing...not too sweet, but sweet enough!

We walked past it a few times on our afternoon in Akureyri. The pasteries looked amazing from the outside window. Made sure to have breakfast there the next day before leaving town. The donuts were excellent. Felt like being in a little neighbourhood bakery in North America. There were even Icelandic donuts on the menu. Good place to hangout for... More

Came here on a couple of occasions and loved it. I would recommend the Icelandic bread and have this with butter and cheese - yum. Cakes were ace too and you could get a few groceries here too. Great place for breakfast - recommended.

This bakery and coffee shop is on the "tourist street" in the very pretty town of Akureyri. We enjoyed their tasty baked goods and free coffee refill while sitting out front watching the passengers from the cruise ship stroll back and forth. (Most never ventured any farther from the ship, missing the beautiful river, botanical garden, trails, etc.). It's a... More

We ran across this baking in the main shopping street and decided to buy bread there for breakfast day after. It was completely a surprise. We got excellent fresh and crispy breads, buns and also the sweet cakes were quite good and plenty to select for. The employees worked fast and gave good service and a smile. We saw many... More
