Food is good, no big problems, but it's also boring like 20 years ago. Interior is tired. Too expensive.

Tasty 'pikkujoulu' dinner in 'cellar restaurant Brahe'. In Finland we celebrate Christmas well before Christmas and call it 'pikkujoulu' meaning little Christmas/pre Christmas party/dinner. Restaurant located in the center of the city and it's quite nicely decorated, clean, friendly place. I have never cared for exquisite service, so this wasn't never the main thing for me. I did not expected... More

I was here today, as we wanted to eat something tipical for Finland. We dicided to mix 2 dishes - reindeer (as we've never eaten it before) and salmon (becouse the salmon in Poland is not the salmon directly from the skandinavian sea). It was amazingly delicious! Reindeer was prepared in the perfect way - tasty, a little bit spicy... More

This is a fairly small Finnish bistro. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate when we were there. The Italian motif didn't seem to suit the fact that it is a Finnish restaurant, but that may only seem unusual to foreigners. The food is good. The reindeer was prepared well in the typical Finnish style and was delicious. The snails (appetizer)... More

I had never eaten Reindeer before and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. If you are a meat lover this meal is for you! I was greeted at the door by a friendly face. I let her know I did not have a reservation and she nodded that it was fine while escorting me to a very nice table,... More

The hotel called ahead to see if they could make a reservation. Arriving at 8:30 there was one other table of diners. During the meal three others came in, one couple for dessert and the check their messages (they barely spoke to one another) but for a Saturday night it seemed odd not to be more busy. The food was... More

This restaurant in the center of Turku and they have redecorated this place recently so now the place is rather cozy. The food is good but the prices are very high even for an Finnish restaurant. I ate a steak and it was good but costed almost 40 euros and in other places you can eat starter, main course and... More

We had booked a table in advance, but when we arrived to the restaurant at the time reserved, the table had been given away. The personel had written the reservation in the reservation book at the wrong time, and as they do not gove written reservation confirmations, the customer is in a poir position in these cases. Poor service when... More

The place is cozy (despite the meaningless references to Italy on the walls, being the food not particularly Italian) and it has a good selection of food and beverages. I found the food to be OK, yet the ratio quantity-quality was barely ok, especially given the price. However, I find it hard to believe that it's possible to find anything... More
