This whole are is lovely around the tower, but at the bottom of the tower is the small cafe in question. It was very authentic old fashioned feeling when I went in. MY friends being Finnish loved this place, as did I. The drinks were nice, and the doughnuts very very nice, as were the reasonable prices. So, definitely recommended... More

Open every day of the year and always same fresh munkki makes even people living in Tampere wanting to go there. A saturday walk in the park when it is chilly and then a warm coffee with cozy environment is something else! Prices is also decent.

I'm been in this place a lot of time and it's always a pleasure to eat a fantastic donuts with a tea or coffee in a beautiful, cozy place. The view from Pyynikki Tower is amazing in all the season! Don't miss the glögi (finnish christmas drink) if you go there during winter time!

Lovely little cafe in the woods with the added bonus that you can walk or drive here easily from the town centre. The range of products is limited - it's pretty much coffee and doughnuts, but they're really good. You can convince yourself that a walk up the adjoining tower will work them off.

This place is apparently known for its donughs and they surely were tasty and reasonably priced. They had also good tea and other warm drinks.

The freshest, warm, fresh donuts are found here. After visiting the tower for the splendid view of Tampere, it is a must to enjoy your beverage of choice and at least one of these wonderful donuts. Though I am not a coffee drinker, I am told (by this nation of coffee drinkers) the coffee is also not to be missed.

The viewpoint tower of Pyynikki is a great place to stop while enjoying the forest and the lake. Take the stairs (or the elevator) and admire the great view to Tampere city and the nature around it. The most important thing: don't leave without tasting the donuts-like Finnish "munkki" - a pastry made with fat and sugar. ;) In this... More

The queue is always there but miracously you never have to wait for too long. The original munkkis are so freshly baked that you dont get anywhere else. A must visit place in Tampere, year after year.

Situated at the bottom of the observation tower on top of Pyyniki ridge, this café has a great location. There are tables both indoors and on the terrace. The building dates from 1929 and seems to have kept a lot of its original features. The coffee is very good, and they have a wide range of soft drinks as well.... More
