I had read the reviews and was expecting fabulous naan and paneer, but was disapointed. Many of the sauces we had in our group were too sweet. I won't eat here again, though the service was very friendly.

After years in Warsaw and Krakow both with at least one excellent Indian / Nepalese restaurant, we were so happy to find Katmandu in our new home town of Tampere. Still with no dining table, we had to resort dining outside for quite a many evenings, and Katmandu has already been our destination for more than five times... A lots... More

We had a dinner in this place on a Thursday night in July, 2014. The service was very friendly with quick delivery. The place was not crowded, so it was obviously natural. We made have spicy selections and we were very, very satisfied. The thali plate contained so much, that there was really no need, neither any room(!), for a... More

The vegetarian option is really good. Loved the naan bread. Two baby chairs available. Friendly to children.

Service was very friendly and fast. Well, it wasn't a rush hour. We had garlic naan bread, chicken with tomatos, cheese and cashews in coconutcream sauce and lamb pieces in a spinach and garlic cream sauce. It was delicious! And there was plenty of garlic. It really must taste in food. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I loved this place it is a real little gem. The staff are friendly and attentive, the food is tasty, fresh and the naan bread perfect. Big portions so make sure you don't eat before you go. Cosy atmosphere and reasonable prices.Do yourself a favour and try it soon.

Visited on Tuesday night, around 18.00. Restaurant almost empty, which scared me bit at first. Decoration & athmosphere of restaurant it bit dark, like many indian/d´nepalese. We tasted 2 different chicken currries and lam, served with jogurt, salad and Naan bread. Have to say, that food was really tasty - great ! Together with humble & polite service made this... More

Of course, I am not an expert on Nepalese cuisine, but somehow I was not impressed with the place or cuisine either. The food was simple with a lot of Indian-like flavors, the naan bread was tasty, but the atmosphere somehow was not cosy at all and the food was not impressive in any way. The place got packed quickly... More

I love the food here. This place made to my favorite list since the first time I was there. Food is very tasty and rich in flavors. Naan is great. Don't forget to try the Mango Lassi as well.

I have never ventured a Nepalese restaurant in Japan because there are many Indian restaurants. So, to date I have not been interested in Nepalese cuisine so much. Katmandu is one of very popular restaurants in Tampere. Most ethnic restaurants in overseas countries add some arrangement to the real taste for the people of the country where the restaurant is...
