Excellent place to have lunch while doing shopping. Good fish, good wines. This restaurant inside the hall was situated in the very last corner on the right side,
This is one of the few places left in whole Finland where you still see local people doing their everyday shopping in a traditional way. Kauppahalli (a market hall) is definitely a place I always try to visit when I go to Tampere either just to walk around or have a coffee and a snack.
The market hall is a must when you visit in Tampere. Reasonable prices and nice atmosphere. Take a quick lunch or for instance a salmon sandwich with coffee in Kahvila Aniitta (appr. 8 euros for two).
This place is full of life. It's quite small and there's not a chance in getting lost... But you can find all you need from this indoor market place.
There are the Four Season restaurant in Tampereen Kauppahalli. I think the owner is from France. Belive me It was the best fish soup... More

The atmosphere is also nicely... More

The selection of food is big, ethnic, organic, vegetable etc. There are bakeries, cafes and many kind of small shops, so you can easily spend an... More
