Had booked a nice table for five, and as we entered the restaurant, we found ourselves sitting around a very nice table, by the window. The service was friendly, professional and the staff were knowledgeable. The food was delicious: I had griddled liver with lingonberries, a real treat! The reindeer, whitefish and marbled sirloin steak were lovely. The strawberry sorbet... More

If i was a tourist in Helsinki, i would want to go to Kappeli, just for its history and the beautiful setting: there you are surrounded by glass walls and beautiful lights. Especially during the three seasons when it gets dark at dinner time, its magical! The food and service is good, they even waited before serving the desert as... More

probably a place to go have a drink, and not the food. Was just a light snack, salmon pie and korvapuusti but expensive. Drinks arent too badly priced for Finland. You need a nice day too.

We choose this restaurant for our last dinner of our 20 days traveling around Scandinavia. That was an amazing Trip!! We couldn't made a better choice. Stunning place, very chic and cosy, nice service, superb food and one of the best creme brulee i'd ever ate.

My dad and I ate there this evening, and had a wonderful experience. We made a reservation for 7:00, and I'm glad we did as the dining room was full when we arrived. He got the Kappeli salad and the chicken, and I had the fries and Charolais steak. Both of us were very pleased. We forwent dessert at the... More

The restaurant is very nice - a little bit posh. The food was excellent. We were a large group that was put in the basement and it was okay but a bit disappointing when you noticed how nice it was on the first floor. The basement was bland, but it was probably not space enough on the first floor. for... More

You might think that liver and onions is a common dish but not at Kappeli, it came on a bed of mashed potatoes sauce and a side of berries and nicely garnished. The restaurant is expensive however it is worth the visit and the food is excellent, my son had the best vegetarian meal of his life here too. The... More

You must try Kappeli. The place is very beautiful, and it was one of Sibelius' favorite places. Food is great! Sometimes there is someone playing piano. Great place!

we did not eat in side that had full service. We ate in the fast, self service cafe side. They had a limited selection of food, and the prices were high. I had the feta and spinach pie which was odd and not very tasty. the only plus was the location.
