Friday night dinner

We were three adults dining in Seahorse on a Friday evening in February. The aperitifs were prepared well, Dry martinis just right and the Bloody Mary spicy and cold (and not diluted by leaving the ice in the glass, a mistake that many restaurants do). We knew the menu and had already made our... read more

Soup and a main course each plus 2 beers and a glass of wine came to 74 euros. The food was quite OK but nothing startling. What really disappointed us was that when we went in a guy offered to take our coats and hang them up and after we had handed them over told us that it would be... More

The food and service are excellent. The decoration from 1930's is nostalgic. White tableclothes and beautiful dishes make this place almost luxurious while it is situated a little but away from the city center. You have to reserve the table in adviance.

We had the meat dish for 2. Meat was tender, it cane with potatoes, carrots and an excelent wine sauce! My friend had the traditional meatballs and said they were good too!

Met here for dinner with some business colleagues and really enjoyed the traditional Finnish fare. Bohemian atmosphere that seems a little disconnected from the menu, but that's the fun of the place. The food was very good, and don't miss the schnapps as an appetizer.

We went tho Seahorse on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. The interior of tge restaurant looks something like in th 1960s/1970s, simple with old school charm. My husband and I both had a soup, and the reindeer and sweetbread as our mains. Both the soups and the mains were very good, with generous portions. We didnt have any room left... More

On the outside the restaurant looks like some kind of Finnish knocking shop - covered windows and pink lights make it look like it offers extras that would not be out of place in a Thai massage parlour. However, it actually is quite pleasant on the inside, if a little on the minimalist side, though I suppose they didn't have... More

Nice place to have traditional Finnish food. It is located not far from the central of the city and have some of the best herring I've tasted.
