Met here for dinner with some business colleagues and really enjoyed the traditional Finnish fare. Bohemian atmosphere that seems a little disconnected from the menu, but that's the fun of the place. The food was very good, and don't miss the schnapps as an appetizer.

We went tho Seahorse on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. The interior of tge restaurant looks something like in th 1960s/1970s, simple with old school charm. My husband and I both had a soup, and the reindeer and sweetbread as our mains. Both the soups and the mains were very good, with generous portions. We didnt have any room left... More

On the outside the restaurant looks like some kind of Finnish knocking shop - covered windows and pink lights make it look like it offers extras that would not be out of place in a Thai massage parlour. However, it actually is quite pleasant on the inside, if a little on the minimalist side, though I suppose they didn't have... More

Nice place to have traditional Finnish food. It is located not far from the central of the city and have some of the best herring I've tasted.

Semi ironic traditional Finnish cuisine for well-healed ageing hipsters. We enjoyed the food and service very much, try the fried herring if you're hungry...an enormous but delicious supper or have the reindeer if your looking for something different but equally delicious. Best to book or come before 7:30pm thurs/fri/sat or late.Thoroughly recommend.

I like it here in the dark months. Don\t expect haute cuisine - traditional Finnish home cooking, liver and bacon, snchitzel, good home cooking, and they serve beer in pint glasses at the table. Its quirky and offbeat in a very Finnish way, but I recommend, better in the winter months as its a bit dark and stuffy.

This old restaurant has one of the best Baltic herrings with mashed potatoes. If you're a fish lover, you should try this. The atmosphere is just like from old Kaurismaki movies

There are the mysterious sea horses paint on the wall long time ago. There is the story of the businessman who built the big house for the love of his life, and the story about the mustard brought down in buckets from the upper-floor flat. The server told me the following: "The clients are surprised twice when they eat here.... More
