Very good traditional Finnish restaurant in Helsinki

Last time I was in this place about 20 years ago and now some days ago with my friends. That was a really nice restaurant of "1st class" like they say on the sign from 1952 years on the door.

My neighbourhood local for over 20 years now. A lot of history here, and a nice 40's and 50's feel to it. Traditional list of Finnish classics. If you don't go you will regret it ! A home for Finnish artists....Reservations recommended !

We had a wonderful dinner at this finnish restaurant. We began with salmon soup and escargot with garlic. Bread and butter which came with them were as delicious as the two starters i mentioned. Main dishes: vegetable rolls and pork with grave (with smashed potatoes both of them). Really really good. Two beers and water. Total 60 euro: absolutely fair... More

Looking for a central restaurant serving Wiener Schnitzel in Helsinki, we found this ravintola. It is only 5 min foot walk away from metro station Kaisaniemi and quite close to the see. We had the luck that we got a table on a Thursday evening, even though we had no reservation. Nothing special inside, not a luxurious, but cosy atmosphere... More

The whole experience is straight from the mid of 20'th century. Interior is harmonic and authentic. Even the menu fits the picture. The service is friendly and professional. It's great they have kept their traditions!

Went to Kolme Kruunua with a couple from Helsinki, it is a ravintola with a 70’s feel. Both the decoration and food are supposed to be a somewhat retro experience and while the décor is alright, basically it is just as it was 30-40 years ago, the food was a mixed experience. The salmon soup was quit good and well... More

Ate here on our first night of a long weekend in Helsinki. The restaurant isn't that easy to find as the signage is not very obvious - we walked past it twice before spotting the sign. I am glad we had booked as the place got very full. Mixture of young Finnish people enjoying beers and lots of tourists soaking... More

The restaurant was recommended by our hotel. It had both traditional Finnish food and other items. It was very good. Good service, and the meals were all delicious and hearty! A colleague and I had the reindeer stew with mashed potatoes and ligonberries. It was a little salty, but quite good. Other guests had veal sausage, salmon, or the beef.... More

_Location_ The Kolme Kruunua is located a few steps away from the main attractions but it's well worth the (short) walk. _Food_ I had reindeer filet (29€) and it was tender and perfectly cooked. It was accompanied by veggies and a sweet-salty sauce that is typical for the nordic cuisine. My colleagues' mais all looked nice as well, and my... More

Very nice and good finish restaurant. Delicious salmon soup. Also pike pearch Mannerheim and reindeer are very good. The prices are not as high as in other Helsinki restaurants.
