Intimate with Good Food & Service

Atelje Finne was recommended in our trendy 'Wallpaper' travel guide & was a good choice. As said in title; Elementary interior, great atmosphere, superb dishes, quality wine selection, knowledgeable & friendly staff. All in all it adds in to a splendid experience. Also good place for veggie dining. While dining there, TV recordings where going on for a Helsinki food tour on Canadian ZEST TV channel.

The atmosphere was welcoming and the personnel warm and welcoming. We got recommendations also out of the menu, and they seemed genuinely interested in making our evening a good one. The tartar in the starters and the creme brûlée with licquorice for dessert are worth mentioning.

Finne offers excellent food based on very typical or traditional Finnish ingredients. The milieu is very stylish but cosy and the service is knowledgeable yet friendly. Prices are relatively high but not over-the-top compared to some other high-profile restaurants in Helsinki. And the total package is worth the price in my opinion. Very suitable for a business dinner or a... More

Atelje Finne is definitely a top Finnish restaurant in Helsinki. It's a bit colder in atmosphere than the impeccable Kuurna run by the same owners, but on the other hand more centrally located. The menu always has a couple of nice daily options which are worth considering. Definitely a pick for Finnish food in Helsinki.

OK so even Lonely Planet know about it but it is hard to find without GPS with no sign but still very busy. This cozy place with a few tables and hard working ladies delivering food of top drawer quality. Price is reasonable for this quality. Service is personable and atmosphere is wonderful.

This is an excellent restaurant. Elegant simplicity is the order of the day. I had a fantastic beetroot soup with lingonberries followed by a very succulent and tender lamb. My partner had a beautiful white fish for main. Polished off with a licorice creme brûlée. And very friendly service. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone travelling to Helsinki.

We had a team dinner here with people from different countries looking forward to sampling goof Finnish food. We were not disappointed, the first was delicious! The menu is small but we all happily found something and all clearer our plates. The service (in English) was warm, friendly and knowledgeable so we learnt new things about the food too. I'm... The restaurant is not on main street but it's worth to walk a distance to find it. We arrived a little late compared to Helsinki dining time. We got a coold soup as starter. Fresh taste. Tangy apple and fennels. Really a good starter on a worm summer evenin. We got two different main dishes Roasted lamb with strawberries and... More

First visit this week to the Ateljé. I really enjoyed the experience. I started with a cold soup of appels, fennels and turnips, well balanced between the ingredients. Then, a surprising beef fillet with strawberry salsa. I never imagined eating strawberries with beef, but the result was really nice. To end, a liquorice creme brulee - you must try it.... More
