The food at this restaurant was really tasty, and from the restaurants we ate in Helsinki this was the favorite of our group. The service was really nice, so I'm not sure what the complaints are from the other reviews regarding service. I personally had the lobster and fresh shrimp as an appetizer. Even the bread we were offered before... More

They made all the mistakes with the main course. Lobster was overcooked and the portion included max 60grams of lobster meat, five sweet potato chips and some green. It was pretty much the most disappointed main course ever with 25euros. Service was ok, but they tried to explain that overcooking was the ingredients fault. Starter and desert where Ok, but... At the moment they have a Martinique theme in the restaurant. We had the Stockmann menu at 39e. Honestly, I expected a little more from the restaurant. The setting is calm, clean, comfortable and Scandinavian stylish. The flavors in the food were good, but I personally feel it was a bit over priced for the quality of the food. The... More

Hidden in a basement, Fish Market is easy to miss! It can also easily be confused with the northern Italian cuisine restaurant next door, owned by the same people. My boyfriend had the set menu and I had the giant tiger prawn skewer and the smoked shrimps. For some reason there was no “main course” section on our menu (unless... More

This fish restaurant located in a basement close to the open air market usually offers relaxed fine dining. Their special Christmas menu, however, did not quite fulfill our expectations. The service was friendly, but this time too hasty since the house was full. The buffet marking the first course was pretty ordinary, and lacking clarity. Some very strongly marinated herring... I was treated to dinner at this cool and relaxing restaurant by a Finnish friend. Even though the place is in a basement, it was very welcoming and it was easy to carry on a conversation using normal speaking tones. We chose to have the special Christmas fish feast menu, which was really terrific. The first course is a seafood... More

This restaurant is in the basement, and you could easily miss it if you were walking by. I had the Herring for the appetizer and the Pike for the main course. Both were good. As with other restaurants in this area, a bit pricey. 4EUR for a bottle of water?

We stumbled accross this place and are really glad we gave it a try. We had some beautifully cooked fish dishes, all imaculately presented: real high end food. It wasn't cheap but given the high quality food, service and ambience, we thought it was good value. Would recommend.

If you a a fish/seafood lover thats the place! Yummy stuff and very high quality. The service is very attentive too! Good wine list. The main course winners were the smoked Whitefish (take this if you are hungry - it is quite big, but amazingly delish), or fish and chips (medium size). I didn't leave hungry :). Everything just so... More

The service in this place was of high quality. We were welcomed and taken care of cordially. Amuse-bouches were a nice and tasty surprise, greetings from the kitchen. The menu consisted of different sea foods and the portions we selected were very delicious. The wine suited well with the sea-food portions. The only negative is the price. This is not... More
